Amy Loy-Rhetoric Leadership Log-7B!

Rhetoric can be used in leadership to lead people. You need to be persuasive in order to affectively lead people and get them on your side. Everything in rhetoric, especially pathos, helps to change people's minds and get them on your side so you can lead them. Rhetoric however can get a little fuzzy sometimes, and can be used for good or bad leadership. It can be used for good to lead people on the right path. For example, if you use good ethos, pathos, and logos in a speech to get people on your side (say helping fundraise for a certain charity) you can impact people that are involved in that charity in a positive way, which is what you want to do in leadership. It can be used for bad when the rhetoric isn't necessarily completely true, and but you are saying it like it is true. Logos can do this, and so can logical fallacies; they can lead you to believe something is true when the truth is actually skewed.
