AS a resut, the relationship among these causes fs complex. To unlock heatth problems, It's thetetore necessary to work on a basis of corect knowledge. If there is o lack of knowledge, then any ‘compoigns wil have only temporary benefit, or produce «result less worthy than tt should be, fh the post yeor, the Governing Board of ThaiHeath hos poid more attention to the importance of knowledge development. For example, ThalHeaith has supported Mahidol Univers in its plan to develop scholarship in frder to control tobacco consumption. ThaHeath hos supported the Ministry of Public Heath to develop knowledge in order to control consumption of alcohol, as wel as its plan to develop a heatth data system. In ‘2ddtion, ThoHeattn has supported Chulciongkom University to develop a scholarship program for consumer protection wih regard to heotin, Subsequentty. this suppot promotes continuous strength within technical ‘agencies ftom three to fve years in a row, which Is diferent from previous support which was tkely to be given for only specific research programs. With these aforementioned technical developments, apart ftom helping to empower a state of wellbeing within Thailand, the academic insttutions carying out the research are sting towards excelence on an Intemational level. This wil lead to cooperation with the World Health Grgankation and other Intemational alles, os well os raising Thaland's level of academic standing, os seen in the pralve Thalond hes recelved for ts campaigns to reduce the consumption of tobacco. Apart ftom developing knowledge to solve important health problems, ThaiHealth & giving importance to evaluation of result. These programs were selected through various processes created by the Governing Board ‘and the Office of ThaiHeat The programs that the Office has spontored over many yeos have begun fo show various concrete results educing consumption of alcohol and tobacco, and reducing the risk factors that threaten the wel-being of Thal people. These activites have arisen trom the support of the govemment and have received cooperation ftom the pubic sevice sector, private organizations, communities, and many other groups of people, which hhas created benefits for heath promotion. We found that the ‘work was complex and sometimes repetitive and, as there isc small number of stat, the organaation required @ high degree of copacly. ThaHlealth, therefore, needed fo adlus ts strategy and wexking conditions accordingly We are constantty leaning and adjusting, based on our ims and mision, and are able to odust various work ‘and conattions when encountering cbstactes. These changes, however. are sill bosed on goad govemrance and postive otttudes ‘An Important work of development is the publcation of “Strategy Integration and the Master Plan of ThalHeath” It has been prepared and put into practice to build up strengths and elminate weoknesses. Work plans and the various programs need constant revision in implementation to ensure they follow the three power stategies, which are: the power of wisdom, the power of policy ond the power of social paaticipation.
