Cumulative

Frequency
What is meant by cumulative
frequency?????

The cumulative frequency is the sum of the

frequencies up to a certain value in a set of
data

It can be obtained by determining the sum of

its frequency with the total frequency of the
previous data or class interval

We can construct a cumulative frequency

table based on the

j)Ungrouped data
There are three step to construct
a cumulative frequency table

Step 1: add a class for zero

frequency before the first class

Step 2: list all the upper class

boundaries

Step 3: add a frequency up to the

values of the class boundary size
For example:

c)Ungrouped data

Shoe 6 7 8 9
size
frequenc 7 12 10 11
y

k)Grouped data

Mass(kg 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69

)
frequenc 2 7 14 9
