Any three vectors a, b, c are coplanar if and only if [a b c] = 0

Tip #1

Coplanar vector: Three (or more) vectors are called coplanar vector if they lie in the same planar. Two (free) vectors are always coplanar.

Tip #2
Free and localized vectors: A vector whose value depends only on its length and direction and is independent of its position in space, is called a free vector. Such a vector may be shifted, at pleasure, parallel to itself. However, if a vector is associated (bound) with a given line or point, it is said to be localized in that line or at that point.

Tip #3
Coterminous vectors: Vectors having the same terminating point are called coterminous vectors.

Tip #4
If the scalar product of two non-zero vectors vanishes then the vectors are orthogonal.

Tip #5

Tip #6
The direction of a vector is often expressed as an angle of rotation of the vector about its "tail" from east, west, north, or south. For example, a vector can be said to have a direction of 40 degrees North of West (meaning a vector pointing West has been rotated 40 degrees towards the northerly direction) of 65 degrees East of South (meaning a vector pointing South has been rotated 65 degrees towards the easterly direction).
