Choose one of the following seven guidelines for your final project.

Draft a proposal for the project including sketches AND a list of found objects that you would like to use.

Found Object Art Final Project

1. Construct an abstract piece of three-dimensional found object art that conveys a certain emotion through texture, shape, form, and titling. 2. Find or buy a used book and, using 2D and 3D found media and the Cut-Up technique, alter it in a way that reinforces its theme in a contemporary way. 3. Modify, interpret, or adapt one or more found objects to create an unusual, wearable piece of art that conveys social commentary. 4. Make an aleatoric, musical/playable piece of found object art through the modification, interpretation, and adaptation of found objects and reinforce its function with a title. 5. Choose a famous painting (ex: Starry Night), and recreate it with your own artistic interpretation as a sculpture-inthe-round using found objects. 6. Create an artistic environment or transplant of a living space in a gallery space using found objects. 7. Create two or more piece of environmental sculpture or land art using objects found in nature (a la Andy Goldsworthy) and document and display them through photography, video, and/or gallery installation.
