HOW TO GET ECS FACILILITY

Consumers in Bangalore City can pay the Electricity bills through their bank account at no extra cost besides saving their precious time by opting ECS Scheme. Consumer can avail this facility through any Bank in Bangalore city having daily clearance with RBI. Consumer Payment can be made through consumers account or through anybody elses account after due authorization. Bank will debit the bill amount only on the due date. Pass book entry as ECS will be proof of payment. Consumer will continue to get the bills as usual for their information and record.

Advantages: No extra cost payable either to Bank or BESCOM. No traveling to cash counters. No risk of carrying money. No standing in long queues. No wastage of precious time. No necessity of depending on someone to pay their bills. No debiting of money in the bank before due date, thus allowing time for any clarification in respect of bill. No fear of debiting more amount as there is a limit in the Mandate. Extra amount of the bill will be debited to Bank account on due date.

Incentive for opting ECS: An incentive at the rate of 0.25% rebate on the total bill amount being given to the under this Scheme.

Procedure: Consumer can get the Mandate from any Submission Offices or download from "http://www.bescom.org" Fill in the mandate form. Get it signed by the banker. Attach a photocopy of the latest electricity bill and a photocopy of the cheque leaf for ensuring the MICR code. Submit to the sub-division of Mail it to Assistant General Manager (F&C), ECS Cell, Office of the Chief Engineer (Electy.) (C,O&M), Metropolitan Area Zone, 14/3, CFC Building, 3rd Floor, N.T.Road, Bangalore-560001. www.bescom.org .

Note: Consumer can use single mandate form for all his electric installations existing in single premises. Consumer should ensure sufficient balance in the bank account one day prior to due date.
