Time allotted MONDAY Learning TargetStudents will increase their knowledge of vocabulary relevant to success on the AP exam. They will show their learning by presenting a board game that teaches 100 relevant vocabulary terms, and by playing/testing games created by their peers.

TUESDAY Learning TargetStudents will improve their writing skills and prepare for the AP exam. They will show their understanding by completing a 40 minute timed essay in response to a prompt. Students will complete an FRQ (free response question) based on the following prompt: In the first five chapters of The Picture of Dorian Gray, characters function, at least in one sense, as archetypes. This means that in addition to being presented as real people with genuine feelings and motivations, they also function as symbols for certain personality types, values, and ideas. Using the first five chapters of the book (and more if you have read it), describe three characters and their function as archetypes in the novel. What do they represent? How does the author make this clear? Make sure to cite the text when constructing your essay. WEDNESDAY Learning TargetStudents will practice and improve their skills in answering multiple choice questions on the AP exam. They will show their understanding by completing a set of practice questions and analyzing their successes and failures in small groups.
