Cholera in Haiti: Factsheet

Source: Directorate of Epidemiology, Laboratory & Research, Haiti Ministry of Public Health and Population Since the cholera outbreak began in October, 2010, 679,262 cases have been reported, including 377,837 hospitalized cases, of which 8,279 died. There was a 29% decrease in the number of deaths from 2010 to 2011, and a 71% decrease from 2011 to 2012. There has been a 42% decrease in cases between January and October 2013 compared to the same period in 2012.
