CHILDRENS ART CLASSES

Barbara Diamond, Artist/Art Educator, will be back in Spring 2014, teaching two 6- week art classes after school here at Buena Vista (in the Cottage) on Wednesdays for Kindergarten through 6thgrade. Projects will be different from the Fall classes, though some of the same medium may be used (such as watercolors or pastels). Barbara is on faculty at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Centers Bemis School of Art, Pikes Peak Community College, and has been the itinerant art teacher at Golden Mountain and Giving Tree Montessori for 20 years. She has been teaching art after school at Buena Vista since Fall 2012.

IN SPRING, CLASSES WILL FOCUS ON LINE, COLOR, SHAPE, AND TEXTURE THROUGH SUCH MEDIUMS AS FUSION COLLAGE ( A DIFFERENT COLLAGE PROCESS FROM THE FALL) PAINTING, PASTELS, MIXED MEDIA, BOOK CONSTRUCTION AND MORE. FOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS GRADES K 6th GRADE Wednesdays 2:30- 4:00
COST: $62 per child for each 6 week session - INCLUDES FABULOUS MATERIALS

SPRING I Schedule of classes: JAN 29 FEB 5, 12,19, 26 MAR 5, (March 12th and 19th are reserved for a make-up class if necessary) SPRING II Schedule of classes: APRIL 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 May 7 (May 14 is reserved for a make-up class if necessary) Please note that we have room for 20 students, so the first 20 students to provide registration and a check for the full amount will receive a space (unless other arrangements are made with Barbara ahead of time).
