SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS

Dear Mr. R. Karr

As you know there are plenty of things that need to be done to Governor Simcoe
Secondary school to improve it whether its big or small and I thought I might address some of
the ones that affect the students in our school. The things that have kept them from finishing
assignments and other projects.
One of those things is the computers in room 308 and in our library. Theyre very
old and extremely slow, it takes almost three minutes just to save our assignment and five or
more minutes just to open one of our documents or any other programs we need. I think we
should replace them with newer and faster computer so that we can work on assignments and
culminating activitys without having to wait twenty minutes for your computer to just log in.
Another thing that we should look into improving is the chairs in some of our
classrooms, there old and run down with scratches and splits that can scrape you and cut you.
Some are even bent back at the top because of the kids leaning back. I suggest that we replace
them with either newer chairs or use the good ones that are not being used.
Also there is the matter of the student washrooms, some of the stalls no longer
lock there broken or just dont hold and the mirrors are scratched and painted on with words not
of my choice. They need to be fixed up just a tad. Other than those three things this school has no
other big problems that I have with the school and I think improving these things would make for
a better and stronger school.
Thank you
One of your students.
