Weber School District is pleased to announce the availability of Utahs new assessment and accountability system, SAGE.

SAGE (Student Assessment for Growth and Excellence) is a computer-based, complete assessment system comprised of summative, interim and formative components. You and your student(s) now have access to test items aligned to the Math, Science and Language Arts Utah Core Standards as well as a variety of support structures designed to support, reinforce, review and enhance classroom content.. All students currently have accounts in the SAGE system. In order to access an account, youll need to follow these steps: 1. Determine your students SSID (state identification number). The easiest way to find this number is to use the Parent Portal and look under the transcript tab. The number you are looking for is seven digits long and is not the students school ID (the one they use for lunch and library privileges). Use a supported browser (Internet Explorer 10+, Firefox 3.6+, Chrome 18+ or Safari 4.1.3+). Allow pop-ups. Use the url: www.sageportal.org to access the SAGE Portal. Click on the Students and Families icon. At this point, youll see the Training Tests which are used to practice question types for the summative (end-of-level) tests, SAGE Formative which is used to support classroom instruction and monitor student progress and the Student and Family Resources icon which has a number of informational documents and videos to help you use the system. In order to enter the SAGE Formative site, click on the appropriate icon and enter your students SSID number with three leading 0s. So, if your students SSID # is 1234567, youll enter 0001234567 for both the SAGE Login and the Password. Any assignments created by your students teachers will appear in the next window. You also have the ability to look at a robust compilation of Math, Science and Language Arts items similar to those your student will see on the summative (end-of-level) tests this spring under the Browse Resources tab. You can register for e-mail alerts about updates/changes to the SAGE system by clicking on the blue Register link in the upper right-hand side of the screen.
