This weekly newsletter provides information about what students in Kogan Class will be learning. This week they will build vocabulary and reading fluency in reading, continue rounding to the nearest ten and hundred and begin two and three digit addition in math, and learn about solids, liquids, and gases in science. It also provides spelling words and vocabulary words for the week, announcements such as upcoming events, study tips for reading with children, and math connections for practicing rounding at home.

Try to remember to do the following
• Graded work will go home on when you read aloud to or with your Tuesday; please review child: assignments and send the Vocabulary Words folder back with your point out the title, author & illustrator; Monday: (final e rule) signature on Wednesday. look at the cover illustration and pipe, mule, skate, care, size, predict what will happen in the wise story; look at the pictures before you CALENDAR read and predict what will happen Tuesday: (one consonant in the story; rule) • 9/25: wear a team jersey use expression when you read tiger, motor, student, locate, and let your child imitate you; let your child take the lead lately, writer • 10/5: title tutoring begins sometimes by letting them comment or ask questions as you Wednesday: (long vowels) • 10/6: science test read.
