Julyan White Chinese Contributions

Five contributions that Chinese dynasties made are Taoism, guns and gunpowder, the Silk Road, standardized writing and language, and paper money. 1. The Silk Road was a big contribution because it was used to connect China and most of Asia to the rest of the world and to trade various goods such as gunpowder, silk, and other goods were traded, and various technologies, religions and philosophies, as well as the bubonic plague. 2. Taoism (or Daoism) is a religion is a philosophical and religious tradition that emphasizes living in harmony with the Tao. 3. Paper money was created by the Tang dynasty in 740 B.C. It was created because in some places they would use such objects as seashells and also coins. The creation of paper money made it easier for people because it was light, worth more, foldable, and takes less effort. 4. Standardized writing was started during the Qin (Chin) dynasty that allowed better communication with people. This allowed people to give greater numbers of information to multiple people. 5. The Chinese created gunpowder originally for fireworks, and was traded on the Silk Road. The invention of guns was created later on.
