Greens theorem

This theorem relates integrals around closed curves to corresponding double integrals over the region inside the curve. For example we can use it to calculate fluid circulation in terms of a double integral. In this way we are effectively adding together all the microscopic circulations (vorticity) within the closed curve.

Greens theorem can also be used to prove Cauchys theorem one of the most important Theorems in complex analysis.

Greens theorem works for Simple and intersecting boundaries And for simply or multiply-connected regions
