! Although bonacci numbers may look confusing because they are neither arithmetic or geometric it is really not.

All you are doing is adding the terms ahead of it together for example one, one, two, three, and ve one plus two is three and two plus three is ve and so on. One thing I nd interesting about bonacci numbers is that you can square the terms and add them together. By doing this you get the next two numbers in the bonacci sequence for example if you have one, one, two, three, ve, eight, thirteen and one, one, four, nine, twenty ve, sixty four and one hundred and sixty nine below it you can nd that one plus one plus four equals six and also the next two numbers in the sequence equal six which are two and three. Another thing I found interesting about the bonacci sequence is that all of the terms in terms of area equal the next number in the sequence. Area is the sum of the areas of the square you can nd this by doing height multiplied by base. For example one plus one plus two plus three plus four is the area of an entire rectangle. Eight would be the area of one would be the area of a little square a bigger square would be an area of two. You could take this information and use it to nd the area of all shape you could see how many of the bonacci numbers would be the area of a hexagon or even a octagon. You could also use bonacci numbers to look at things in nature you could look at a ower and see that it has thirty four spirals and eight petals you can use this information to nd a pattern an understand why that ower has thirty four spirals or eight petals in terms of bonacci numbers. By using additional research you can also tell that bonacci numbers is also very useful for making a spiral another thing you can learn is the golden ratio which can be used to calculate any bonacci number. By using the golden ratio the answer always comes out as a whole number. Another that occurs in bonacci numbers is patterns the rst pattern you will nd is that every third number in the sequence is a multiply of two another pattern you will nd is that every forth number is a multiple of three and every fth number is a multiple of ve. The bonacci sequence can also be extended backwards by adding the previous two terms together. When this pattern is wrote out it shows a steady plus minus plus minus pattern. This pattern can even be used to calculate the number pie. An interesting fact about this sequence is that bonacci was not the rst to know about this sequence it was known in India hundreds of ears before bonacci discovered it. Now that you know what bonacci numbers are you can use this sequence for a variety of things that you didnt know you could use if for before.
