Solutions ‘Analyzing Data Solubility describes how much of a substance is needed to form a saturated solution in a given amount of solvent. A solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more substances in the same phase. Solubility usually varies with changes in temperature. Figure 1 shows the solubility curves for four different solutes in 100 grams of water.
