USING THE BOOKMARK LINKS and OTHER LINKS

If you click on the names listed in the Bookmark tab on the left of your screen, you will be taken to the page featuring your chosen link. For PRODUCTS, you need to first click on the (+) symbol, and then expand your chosen alphabet letter by clicking on the relevant (+) symbol next to the letter of your choice, before then clicking on the trick name from the expanded menu. To retract the menu again, just click on the (-) symbols. Similarly with the two INDEX menues and the NEW RELEASES menu, you need to expand them first and make a choice of product from the expanded list. On each page to the left of the product title you will find this graphic.

This is a link to our website. As long as your computer has some form of connection to the internet, if you click on the above symbol it will automatically connect you to the exact page on our website which features the item you were reading about in the catalogue. Any trick title found in the body of the text written in RED is a link to the page in this catalogue featuring that product.

Some of the pages will also have this symbol shown top left. This is a link to a page called the Video Lounge on our website which has imbedded on it a video of the item you are reading about which you can watch to see it demonstrated.

GENERAL SYMBOL GUIDE

In an attempt to make this catalogue as quick and easy to use as possible, a number of pictorial symbols have been used on each page in the left hand margin. The top symbol indicates what the advertised item actually is. Here are the symbols with their meanings:

The product descriptions are succinct and the layout is clear and readable. Alongside each product are symbols covering type (book, video, trick etc), target audience and performing conditions (stand up, close up etc) and difficulty factor. Rounding off the catalogue are indices covering the products alphabetically by name, by trick type, and grouped according to difficulty. If I were Prime Minister of magic, I would force all dealers to follow Marks excellent format. We the customers benefit by knowing exactly what we are buying before we part with the money. GENERAL ITEM The second, and on occasions third, symbols down indicate the subject area that the book/video/trick etc covers. The following symbols break the subject areas down as follows:

CLOSE UP

MENTALISM

CHILDRENS

STAND UP

Where the classification is CLOSE UP, and the item is particularly suitable for strolling or table hopping work, the third symbol will be as shown here.

THE DIFFICULTY SYMBOL

One feature of this catalogue which could be particularly useful to all readers is our difficulty symbol. Each item in this catalogue has a difficulty symbol in the wide left column of the page, and you will also find the corresponding symbol on all trick packaging. Obviously, trying to assess how difficult an item is to master is problematical as every magician has a different starting point. However, once you have bought an item or two from us, and you know roughly how difficult you found that item to master, you will know that any product which has less suits showing in the difficulty symbol box, will probably be easier to master, and if it has more, it is likely to take you longer. By comparing the difficulty symbol of various tricks in the catalogue in this way, you will start to get a feel for what the symbols mean for you personally, and thus hopefully this will be a useful rough guide for you. There are 10 different grades of symbol as shown below, ranging from no suits showing at all, which indicates that the item is the easiest to do from our product line up, right through graded steps to all four suits showing which indicates that this is one of the most difficult items we sell. With products such as books or videos, where there is a variety of easy and more demanding routines, the 10th symbol shown below is what you will see.

The Archive enables E-Club Pro members to access the footage as often as they want thus creating an ever increasing library of interesting and useful video.

The Instruction Locker

Many of my marketed products are supplied without any video or DVD help, and so to improve this situation, video explanations of those items which would benefit from extra help are posted in this section to provide after-sales help for those who already own the tricks, or assist others to understand the workings of the effects prior to perhaps buying the products.

The Vintage Vault

The Vintage Vault is the page which contains video of routines which have not been filmed before. The effects are taken from Mark's back catalogue of routines and ideas and a performance and explanation is filmed. New effects are added regularly and provide a great source of interesting magic to enjoy and learn.

The Tool Box

There are many basic moves which are needed to create a lot of the tricks that we want to perform, and nothing is more frustrating than reading that you need a certain move and then not being sure what that move actually is! In the Tool Box you will find a whole range of moves performed and clearly explained - it's a great reference resource for anyone, but of particular interest to beginners or those with less knowledge and experience. Some of the moves already filed on this page are: the Elmsley Count, the Retention Of Vision Coin Vanish, a basic method for the Cut And Restored Rope, the Double Lift, the Okito Box Move, the Buckle Count and more. Each month a new move is added to the library on this page.

The Lecture Room

It's not always possible for everyone to get to see a Mark Leveridge lecture live, but E-Club Pro members have the chance to experience it by watching bite size segments of Mark's lectures on the Lecture Room page. It's a great opportunity to get advice and learn the magic from Mark's lectures.

The TricKlip Viewer

TricKlips are videos of individual routines extracted from Marks commercially produced DVDs. Normally, you can buy these on a CD for 5 each, but E-Club Pro members get to watch the full performance and explanation video for free in the TricKlip Viewer, with a new TricKlip being chosen each month. And if a Member wishes to the buy the TricKlip, he/she can order a download at the specially reduced price of just 3.00.

The discount on offer each time amounts to more than the monthly cost of membership, so if you make purchases, you ensure that you get even better value from belonging to E-Club Pro.

The Advice Centre

The Advice Centre is one of the key elements of E-Club Pro as it offers you the opportunity to get direct access to Mark for help and advice on magic topics that are of particular importance to you. The Advice Centre consists of three main elements: FAQs - here you will find a long list of questions covering all manner of interesting magical topics with Mark's considered answers. It may well be that replies to things you had always wanted to know about are already included in the list. Two new FAQs are added each month. Personal Advice - if what you want to know is not included in the current FAQs list, then as an EClub Pro member you are entitled to ask Mark directly up to three questions per month to which Mark will give you an answer of up to 200 words. This is a great way to get reassurance or information about any magical matter which interests you. Video Tips - not all products from Mark Leveridge Magic come with an accompanying DVD, and so as an E-Club Pro member, you are allowed to place with Mark one enquiry per month about a product and you will receive a personal VIDEO reply in which Mark will explain and demonstrate the move or handling you are having difficulty with. This must be one of the most personal forms of After Sales Service available anywhere, and it can be yours if you join E-Club Pro.

The Download Portal

The Download Portal page is where you will find free stuff every month! When the website is updated on the 1st of each month a new pdf file, such an E-Routine or Master E-Routine or some other text file, will be made available for you to simply click, download, and keep.

The Book Corner

Each month on the Book Corner page a different extract from one of Mark's books will be posted for you to read. The subject matter is varied and always interesting and contains much advice and help.

Marks Monthly Message

Around the 15th of each month E-Club Pro members receive an email which gives them a link to a special video message in which Mark talks about a topic of interest to all magicians. It's an interesting mix of opinion and advice, and there is much to learn and to enjoy from watching it. There is a different topic each month, of course, and the Archive has all the previous Marks Monthly Message video recordings available to view again at any time.

THE WORD - REDEFINED 12.00

THE ULTIMATE BOOK TEST

With new style gimmick and DVD instructions
For many years my book test, The Word, has been included in my catalogue, and it has been a popular choice for those looking to present a virtually impromptu presentation with any book handed to you at random from someone elses bookshelf. Now with The Word - Redefined, I have streamlined and changed the gimmick to make the handling even easier and to allow you to present this quick and direct book test with an even greater sense of freedom. You are supplied with an extremely simple gimmick which is easy to carry in your pocket where it will take up virtually no room. Armed with this gimmick you are ready at any time to present the book test. You can ask a spectator to pass you any paperback book off their shelf. You do not need to handle the book in advance of presenting the effect, and indeed you do not even need to know which book is going to be offered to you. You hold the book flat facing a spectator and with your head turned away, you riffle through the pages from front to back. The spectator selects any moment to say stop. There is no force of any sort and the position can be changed if the spectator wishes. Holding the book open at the chosen spot, the spectator is asked to remember the last word on the top line of his selected page. The book is immediately shut and placed down. The spectator writes his chosen word on a piece of paper which he folds and retains. You ask the spectator to think of his word and you will attempt to capture his thoughts and write the word down on a second piece of paper. When the two pieces of paper are shown, the same word is written on both! There is no memory work, no sleight of hand, nothing gimmicked about the paper or pen used (in fact they can be borrowed too), and the book itself can immediately be handed back at the finish. This is so direct, so effective, that you are sure to be delighted if you are looking to present a book test. Everything is clearly explained on the 20 minute DVD which is supplied along with the necessary gimmick.

THE COLLECTED CARD MAGIC OF MARK LEVERIDGE - VOLUME 3

15.00
The third volume of Mark Leveridge card magic
A5 in size, perfect bound, the third volume of this good quality card magic set runs to 74 pages with both line drawings and greyscale photographs. There is magic for close up shows, for mentalism, for parlour shows and also for commercial walkabout work. Here is a run down of the contents: Aces Under Control - this is a perfect way to produce the four Aces in that it looks skilful yet is easy to do Co-inci-mental - a you-do-as-I-do card matching effect that cuts out all the unnecessary packet exchanges plus adds a kicker finish Countdown Prediction - a virtually self working prediction effect in which a spectator unerringly selects a card to match your prediction Excalibur - still part of my current catalogue, this card stab can be done with almost any knife. The presentation is fun and the method is ingeniously simple Spot The Difference - Master Routine No.7 is included in full here. This is a stand up Find The Lady style routine that has built in logic and entertainment The Department Store - this is a versatile 'story' trick which can be adapted to a number of different themes. It's a great dressing up of a sandwich type effect Pre-View - a freely selected card instantly vanishes from a deck and is found to be a card already placed inside an envelope before the selection was made! Signature Piece - a routine in which a card bearing your contact details is involved and which can be given away to the spectator at the finish Hide And Seek - a selected card keeps vanishing from the top of the deck and hiding itself in the centre, then at the finish its back colour altogether! No Palm Card To Pocket - if ever a trick title defined what happens in the trick itself, this is it! Easy to do, neat routining The Right Wrong Prediction - a spectator magically transforms an incorrect Jumbo prediction card into one that matches another spectators selection Unavoidable Destiny - Reloaded - a Brainwave Deck type effect using one regular deck. A freely named card is the only one with a different back. This really is an extremely strong line up of card magic, with ideas to suit most performing circumstances. As with the others books in this series, here you will find only workable routines, not endless sleights and minor finesses. It's a book of practical ideas for those who simply like to perform good card magic.

REALITY CHECK 20.00

Blurring the boundaries of illusion

This is a short yet very visual sequence of coin magic which can be used in three different ways. 1. As a piece of silent magic performed to the accompaniment of music (as shown in the video dem) it makes an engaging and impressive start to any stand up or children's show and establishes you as a good magician right from the outset. 2. If you wish you can dispense with the music background and present the effect with patter. A suggested patter theme centring on what is illusion and what is reality is provided. 3. When working tables at a dinner function sometimes you can be caught out by the sudden arrival of a band or loud disco music, while you are still trying to perform. This sequence can be presented simply without speaking, thus avoiding the necessity for the spectators to train to hear any patter. You receive everything needed to present this routine. The instructions come on a DVD which features both the patter and silent to music presentations as well as careful explanation of the handling. As well as this you receive two further discs, one of which contains the royalty free music which you can play back on any CD machine, and the second has the same music provided in three different digital formats, including mp3. To help you to learn the routine as quickly as possible you also receive printed memory jogger instructions complete with colour photographs. All the props are supplied, so you will get the giant half dollar, the regular half dollar and a suitable (ungimmicked) handkerchief. Although some practice will be required, this is not a hugely difficult effect to learn, and the visual impact of the magic will impress your audiences.

KEYED IN 15.00

Great walkabout trick with a surprise finish

This is an interesting packet trick which has a logic behind the presentation and which ends with a real surprise. A blank card is shown to have a picture of a key printed on it and this, the performer explains, is how house keys will be supplied in the future. This key is called a Master Key. Four other cards are shown to be blank both sides and these are key blanks spare cards which can be used if you require further house keys. By way of demonstration, the pile is tapped on the Master Key and on displaying the cards, one is seen to now be printed with a duplicate key. This is repeated three more times until all four blanks now have keys on them, enough for a whole family to have one each! But how can these keys be used with locks already in place on house doors? The answer is quickly shown, when the Master Key card is turned face down and held over a spectators hand and suddenly a REAL key drops out of the card on to the hand leaving the card completely blank. All the props are examinable and there are no extra cards used. This comes with the necessary cards, matching real key, printed memory jogger instructions and a 20 minute instructional DVD showing a live performance and full explanation.

YES AND NO 8.00

Five ESP cards are freely displayed and a spectator nominates one of them, say the STAR. The performer claims to have known this one would be chosen even before it was selected. Pointing to the CIRCLE, he asks the spectator to confirm that he did NOT think of that one. The spectator says "No." Immediately this symbol is flipped over to reveal that it has a large word NO written on its rear! The performer then points to the CROSS. This was not selected either, and on turning it over, it too has NO printed on its reverse. This is repeated with the remaining two discarded symbols. Finally, the spectator is asked to confirm that he DID think of the STAR. He replies "Yes." The STAR is then flipped over to reveal a large YES is printed on its rear! All the cards are then turned face down to show the 4 cards with NO on them and the one card with YES on it. Only 5 cards are used, no extra cards or gimmicks are needed. The spectator has a completely free choice of symbol. The trick requires no re-set and is therefore perfect for strolling work. You receive the ESP cards, carrying wallet and full instructions.

MICRO CLIP 38.00

The best microphone holder ever!

When you are performing a magic show and you need to use a microphone, it's important that you have your hands free. To achieve this you need to attach the mike to your person so that you are then free to move about without losing any voice volume. Micro Clip is a specially designed microphone holder that is unique in the way that it is fixed. Comprising of two adjustable sprung steel clips and secured by two sets of cord fastenings, this practical mike holder keeps the mike just where you need it but does not obscure your face or require anything to be attached to your head. Micro Clip is designed for virtually all types of mike, even the larger brands which contain 9V batteries inside. The clip arrangement allows you to remove and replace the mike quickly and safely, yet when the microphone is in place, it does not sway or move even when you do. I have used this holder for many years and it has proved itself invaluable. Get Micro Clip and you will be able to forget the mike and get on with the magic. As well as the clip you also receive a DVD detailing how to fit and use the holder.

THE UTOPIA CARD FRAME

Complete 50.00 Routines Only 10.00

A LEVERIDGE CLASSIC IS BACK
Way back in the 1980s, I had this great prop in my catalogue. Unfortunately it had to be discontinued when I could no longer get the special photo frames made. Now, in conjunction with RSVP Magic who are manufacturing the frames with permission, I am pleased to be able to re-introduce this wonderful idea which will allow you to palm and load any playing card onto the inside of a pocket sized photo frame while it is carried in your jacket. As an interesting and unexpected alternative to the classic card to wallet, this has much to recommend it. The frame is constructed from black painted wood and is gimmicked to enable you to do the necessary loading at any point during a routine. You need to be wearing a jacket to carry the frame as this is not really suitable for a trouser pocket. When you buy this effect complete from me you will receive an instruction booklet giving details of five routines (four for close up and one for childrens shows) plus a CD on which there are 5 video extracts in Windows Media Player format which will help to explain some of the required handlings. RSVP Magic have produced this prop as it is mentioned in one of the routines on Chris Congreave DVD Childs Play which they market. I will not be supplying their DVD and they will not be providing my routines, so if you have already purchased the Utopia Card Frame from RSVP Magic and you would like to get hold of my routines, I can supply the booklet and CD on their own for 10.00.

BREAKOUT

5.00

A TricKlip Xtra Video Routine

Until now, TricKlips consisted of effects extracted from my commercially produced range of DVDs and supplied as performance and explanation video clips in Windows Media Player format. Supplied either on CD or as a download, TricKlips represent a great way to get your hands on selected effects from my DVD range. Now I have introduced TricKlips Xtra, which will feature performance and explanation video in Windows Media Player format of newly released routines which have NOT previously been included on a DVD. The first release under this new category is Breakout. This is an easy-to-do effect using a regular deck and an unprepared handkerchief which comes straight from my own current performing repertoire. A card is genuinely freely chosen and signed if you wish before being shuffled back into the deck which is slipped back into the box. The cased deck is then wrapped in a handkerchief which is shaken by a spectator. When the package is unwrapped, the signed selection is seen to have escaped from the closed box and to be now lying loose on the outside! No re-set, this is perfect for walkabout or table performance. You can use any deck and the handkerchief can be examined. Watch the dem on my website and youll see that this also has a fun presentation which lay audiences really like. Available on a CD or as an instant download from my website.

THE EL DUCO/LEVERIDGE WALLET COMBO

75.00

Making the most of the El Duco Hip Style Wallet

When El Duco originally created the wallet for his card to wallet routine, it was done in order to offer a no-palm version in a hip style wallet design. However, the way the wallet is loaded in fact opens up a wider range of possibilities than perhaps was first envisaged, and in this special set Mark Leveridge looks more widely at the wallets potential and provides no less than six routines which fully use the wallets design. The routines are performed and full explained on a 60 minute DVD. Here are the details of the routines: Paired Up - a signed genuinely freely selected card is placed sight unseen in the wallet and the matching colour and number card instantly magically turns face up in the deck. Ocular Deception - an unseen card is shown to be sealed in the wallet and a freely selected card goes missing from the deck and is found to be the actual card held in the wallet. Ambitious Card To Wallet - a totally commercial routine using a completely blank deck in which a card bearing a spectators name jumps to the deck top twice before ending up in the wallet. Swap - two signed cards instantly change places even though one is sealed in the wallet and the other is placed reversed in the deck which is held by a spectator. Tell Tale Signs - the special set of 12 cards is supplied to enable you to do an impossible prediction effect in which a card bearing the star sign of any spectator is found in the wallet. THE EXCHANGE 15.00

Here is a simple to do effect suitable for a close up or parlour show and also for strolling work
A deck of cards is displayed face up and then shuffled. A spectator is invited to remove any card and display it. Lets say he selects the 7D. The deck is mixed again and a second spectator invited to reach into the face down spread and remove any card. Well imagine he chooses the 8C. A small pile of envelopes is now brought out and the top envelope handed to the first spectator who checks the envelope is empty and then slips his 7D inside. The performer writes the card name on the envelope flap as a reminder of the selection and the spectator then holds on to the envelope. Another empty envelope is then handed to the second spectator who drops his 8C inside and holds on to the envelope after the performer has written 8C on the flap. The performer explains that although the two envelopes appear normal, they have in fact got the ability to connect with each other, almost like Bluetooth does with electronic items. If the two envelopes are brought close together, they connect invisibly and the contents can change places. So saying the two spectators either walk past each other or bring their two envelopes close together in order to test this connection. Although nothing appears to have happened, when the first spectator removes the card from his envelope he discovers that he now has the 8C, while the second spectator opens his envelope to find that inside is now the first spectators 7D. This routine is very straightforward to do. It comes with a special deck which enables you to offer extremely fair looking card selections without having to use sleight of hand or risky forces, and the envelopes are ungimmicked. The trick requires no re-set so is always ready to go. You receive the special deck, enough envelopes for 15 performances and colour photo illustrated instructions. Note: The envelopes used here are Pay Envelope 2, fresh supplies of which are available from Mark Leveridge Magic.

ASSEMBLY POINT 15.00

A coin matrix with a twist!

Here is a feature close up routine for use in a close up show where you have the luxury of using a close up mat! A black leather purse is shown and four coins are tipped out on to the table from inside. The empty purse is shut and then left in view on the table. The four coins are placed in time honoured fashion in the four corners of the mat and each is covered with a playing card. The magician says that the four coins are going to disappear from under their covers and collect together. Snapping his fingers over the cards, the performer starts to pick them up one at a time true to his word, the coins from under the first three cards are all gone. But when he lifts the fourth card, instead of all the coins being assembled under it, there is no coin their either! All four coins have disappeared. The magician explains that although he said the coins would collect together, he just didnt say where. Picking up the purse that has been on the table throughout the whole routine, he shakes it and coins can be heard rattling inside. The purse is then opened and all four coins are tipped out again on to the table. This routine, while not extremely hard, will take some effort and practice to get it smooth. The handling is well thought out and the vanish of the four coins is achieved in a sneaky manner that you are bound to enjoy. You receive a black leather purse, a DVD featuring a performance and full explanation of the handling, plus written instructions which you can refer as memory joggers after you have watched the video. You can use any coins and any cards as there are no extra gimmicks required.

COLOUR CONFUSION 15.00

An up-in-the-hands colour changing deck routine

A blue deck of cards is slipped from its box and the faces are shown to be well mixed. Spreading the deck face down, a spectator is asked to touch the back of any card. His selection is removed and shown around. Lets say it is the 6C. The 6C is lost in the centre of the pack which is shuffled. The performer now says he will try to find the chosen card, but first he would like to ask the spectator a question. When he touched the back of the card to choose it, did he happen to notice the colour of all the card backs? The spectator says blue. The performer agrees, but then snapping his fingers over the deck, he immediately turns it face down to reveal that the top card has a red back. Then he spreads the cards between his two hands, working his way right down from the top of the deck to the bottom and every card is seen to be red - except one. Sliding out the one blue backed card, the performer says it was easy to find the chosen card because it is the only one whose back has not changed to red - and the card is turned over to reveal it is the chosen 6C. I designed this version of the colour changing deck for walkabout as I was looking for a quick, visual up-in-the-hands card effect that I could re-set in front of spectators. I have used it many times with lay people and can vouch for its impact. The handling is not difficult and it all looks very clean when presented. There is no rough and smooth involved so when the cards are spread they look and handle totally normally. You receive the special deck, a DVD which features video of a performance with a full explanation, plus written instructions as further memory joggers.

THE VANISHER 10.00 for a set of 2

A simple yet effective gimmick for secretly ditching or retrieving any small object
Want to be able to vanish a coin leaving both your hands genuinely empty? With The Vanisher you can. Want to start a routine without having to palm an object yet secretly get hold of it part way into the effect? With The Vanisher you can. In fact, this gimmick will make the handling of many of your tricks so much cleaner and thus increase the impact of the magic. The Vanisher does not use magnets, threads or pulls, and it is not a Topit style gizmo either. And although you do need to be wearing a jacket in order to use it, there is no sleeving involved and no awkward sleight of hand. You receive a set of two gimmicks so that if you wish you can set up more than one jacket, which is useful if sometimes you wear a suit when working and on other occasions you are using a dinner jacket. The instructions supplied cover how to install the gimmick in your jacket (it only takes about a minute) and once in place it will always be ready to go at a moments notice. They also detail the handling for the gimmick, but there are no full routines supplied. I have been using The Vanisher on and off for over 25 years and so I know how useful and effective it is. Once you get yours, youll probably wonder how you ever managed without it!

THE COLLECTED CARD MAGIC OF MARK LEVERIDGE - VOLUME 2

15.00
The second volume of Mark Leveridge card magic
Following the release in 2010 of Volume 1 of this projected 4 volume set, Mark Leveridge Magic is pleased to announce the publication of Volume 2 which features a further selection of Mark Leveridge card routines. The book is A5 in size, perfect bound, and runs to 80 pages with many illustrations. It features material for close up, stand up and even childrens shows. Here is a run down of the contents:

1-2-3 Jumbo Cards Across - great version of the classic trick for stand up adult shows or childrens work. Easy to do. The Blankety-Blank Pack - a striking blank deck routine that finishes with the entire deck printing backs and faces. Diary Of A Nobody - a neat variation on the Danson Diary trick which only uses one diary and one deck plus has a twist at the end. Corrector - a nice use of an old idea using a window envelope and a card which has several applications. Seeing Is Believing - four blank faced cards instantly become printed with faces. Only four cards used, a great way to start a show. The Free Selection Collectors - the full handling for Master Routine No.2 which is a multi-phase routine using a regular deck. It Pays To Be A Lady - classic Mark Leveridge routine using three Jumbo cards and money that keeps appearing under the cards! 007 - a signed coin vanishes and penetrates through a deck in its box to land on top of a signed card in the packs centre. The Modest Card - interesting variation on Card Warp in which cards turn face up and face down inside a flat paper tunnel. Transparent Switch - clever idea which enables you to switch cards inside a completely transparent plastic wallet.

All the effects are practical and rely on subtlety rather than difficult card moves. Variety and ingenuity are very much in evidence. If you love workable card magic, youre sure to enjoy this collection.

THE COIN COLLECTORS PURSE 15.00

Stunning magic which happens in a spectators hands

This is a strolling magic routine which is a genuine reputation maker as it creates a quick effect that will leaves your audience shaking their heads in amazement. The performer brings out a small coin pouch inside which he says he keeps a valuable coin from his personal coin collection. The reason the purse is so small is because you always keep collectible coins in individual purses to make sure that they do not get scratched or damaged. The pouch is handed to a spectator who is invited to remove the coin from inside. He looks at it and notices that the coin has a white sticker on one side with the magicians initials on it. The performer explains that this is to ensure that he gets his valuable coin back! Bringing out a sheet of stickers the magician puts the spectators initials on a second one, and the spectator attaches it to the other side of the coin thereby making it a unique coin. The spectator holds out both his hands palm up and the coin is placed on one of his hands and the empty purse on the other. Taking the coin, the performer places it into his left hand which closes around it. The fist is held over the purse and with a crumbling motion of the fingers, the hand is opened to reveal the signed coin has gone. Both the performers hands are shown to be genuinely empty. The spectator now lifts the coin pouch from his other hand and opens it to discover the signed coin is now back inside! Having used this routine repeatedly in my own commercial work I can vouch for its strong impact on a lay audience. You can use it at tables or in a walkabout situation as no table is required. You receive a black leather coin pouch (which is examinable), a Vanisher gimmick (which you will find useful in many other effects) and colour photo illustrated instructions which take you through all the necessary handling.

TIMED PIECE 15.00

A surprising borrowed finger ring routine

Tricks which use a borrowed finger ring have great appeal for audiences, and this effect creates a startling piece of magic that will long be remembered by the spectators. The performer borrows a gentlemans finger ring and puts it under a handkerchief where it is held by another spectator. With empty hands, the magician removes his wristwatch as he explains that the trick he is about to perform is probably the fastest trick in the world, and he wants to get a spectator to test this fact by timing how long the effect takes to complete. The watch is held so that a spectator can see the second hand on the watch face and on his command, the performer pulls the handkerchief away from the spectator who is holding it whereupon the ring underneath instantly disappears. So how long did it take? When attention comes back to the watch, suddenly everyone sees that the borrowed ring is linked on to the secured strap of the watch itself! The watch can be handed to the spectator who lent the watch so that he can confirm it is indeed his ring and so that he can undo the strap and remove the ring himself. The instant appearance of the ring on the secured strap is very strong and surprising. The handling is straightforward and extremely clean. When the ring is placed under the cloth, the magicians hands can be seen to be empty, which is a vital component in the effectiveness of the trick. This routine is fine for a cabaret show, or for walkabout close up or for use at tables, and there is no re-set other than folding up the handkerchief. You receive the special handkerchief, a Vanisher gimmick (which is useful for many other effects too) and written instructions which take you through the handling.

RING AND STRING DELUXE 15.00

The ultimate instruction package for learning SIX Mark Leveridge ring and string moves
Mark Leveridges original Ring And String Routine comprised of four moves 1 ring on and 3 ring off handlings - and as No.6 in the Master Routine Series, it has proved hugely successful and popular for many years.

Learn this and youll have a routine youll use always both for close-up and standup (parlour or club) situations. Excellent! Phil Wilmarth, The Linking Ring

Now Mark has put together the best package yet to enable anyone interested in doing strong magic with a borrowed finger ring and a length of unprepared cord to add the moves to their magical armoury. As well as including the original four Ring And String moves, this new set also has an extra two handlings, one for ring on and one for ring off. Ring And String Deluxe consists of the following components:

A 35 minute instructional DVD. In this freshly shot footage Mark takes you carefully and thoroughly through all six handlings, with excellent close up performers view shots to make learning the moves as easy as possible. A 14 page colour photo illustrated reference booklet. This provides an excellent reminder of the six handlings shown on the DVD, so that when practising you have memory joggers to keep you on track. A 3 metre length of thin rope. This is the exact cord used by Mark and is enough to make 5 pieces of the correct length for using with this routine.

Ring And String Deluxe is a wonderful resource for anyone who truly wants to learn Marks ring and string moves. The moves do take some practice to get them smooth and convincing, but the DVD and written instructions supplied here give you every chance to get it right the first time. As a lead in to effects such as Mark Leveridges FLY-RING or THE ULTIMATE LIGHTNING RING BOX, this routine is perfect, as it uses a ring and a cord. Imagine the surprise for the onlookers when a borrowed ring penetrates on and off a cord before suddenly, without warning, vanishing to appear inside the performers key case or inside a box which has been in view the whole time!

IMPOSSIBLE! 10.00
The card routine that will have your audiences believing that the impossible just might be possible!
A spectator freely names a card (e.g. 5D) which is cut into the centre of a blue deck. The performer cuts a card of his choice (e.g. AS) into the centre of a red deck. The spectator and performer are now going to attempt to make their chosen cards reverse themselves while the packs are still inside their boxes. Having mimed the removal and turning over of cards, the performer fans the spectators blue deck only to discover that there is one card face up, but its the AS! The magician then fans his red backed deck - and to everyones surprise, the only face up card in that pack is the one freely chosen by the spectator - the 5D! This seems all quite impossible but there is more to come. Sliding the AS out of the spectators blue deck, the performer slowly turns it over to reveal that it has a red back! That is because this is not the AS from the blue deck, but it is the actual AS that moments before was seen to be in the performers red deck! And, even more incredibly, when the 5D is slid from the performers red deck and turned over, it is seen to have a blue back - thats because it is not the 5D from the red deck but the actual one chosen moments ago completely freely from the blue deck of cards. Thats certainly impossible. But theres still more.if the red backed AS found face up in the blue deck really is the one seen moments before in the performers red deck, there wont be any AS in the red deck. To prove there isnt, the deck is handed to a spectator who is asked to quickly run through just to check that there is no AS in the red pack any longer. And if the 5D really did come from the blue backed deck, there wont be another 5D in there either, and that pack is passed to a second spectator to look through just to check. After a few moments both spectators confirm that what the performer has just stated is really true, and so the AS really did instantly jump from the boxed red backed deck to the boxed blue deck held by the spectator, and the freely selected 5D did the same in reverse - now that really is impossible! This comes with one card you will need, plus written instructions and a CD containing video performance and explanation. Provide your own blue and red backed Bicycle decks.

THE COLLECTED CARD MAGIC OF MARK LEVERIDGE - VOLUME 1

15.00
The first of a projected four volume set featuring the varied card magic of Mark Leveridge
For over 30 years Mark Leveridge has gradually been creating a portfolio of card effects and routines where the accent is on practicality and entertainment value. In the first of four projected volumes The Collected Card Magic of Mark Leveridge - Volume 1 offers the reader 15 commercial effects, all of which should be within the capabilities of everyone except the total beginner. Instead of padding out this book with minor technical variations, or with descriptions of esoteric card sleights and moves, Mark has chosen to provide a range of varied, interesting and above all individual tricks which will delight anyone who is looking for card tricks to actually perform for real. While most of the material is designed for close up, there are also included some routines for the stand up performer. The contents are: Im Surprised You Didnt Notice, Name Dropper, Switchback, Give Me A Number, Instant Card Reversal, The Unprint Button, Cards On Parade, My Card Transpo, New Aces Through Newspaper, The Thought Indicator Cards, Spin Out, Pacey Aces, Three Card Tricky, Ultimate Jumbo Stretch and Brainstormer. This Collection provides a wonderful way to get your hands on Marks card effects from the past right up to the present, and the complete set will assemble all of his best card material in the one place. Some of the effects included are still sold as stand alone products, which makes the book extremely good value. The book is A5 perfect bound, runs to 70 pages and is illustrated with a combination of line drawings and black and white photographs. Every copy purchased directly from Mark Leveridge Magic will be signed by Mark Leveridge

MINI LEVERIDGE ENVELOPE 10.00

A pack of three Bicycle card sized black gimmicked envelopes

The Leveridge Envelope is a versatile gimmicked letter style envelope which will produce, vanish or switch anything that will fit inside it. For years this envelope has been used to create a whole range of different effects, and has been supplied in more than one size (see below). Now, Mark is pleased to announce the release of a Mini sized version of this great gimmick. Measuring approximately 95mm x 69mm, it is the perfect size for use with Bicycle playing cards or business cards. The envelope has been constructed from long lasting black paper stock, and it is simple to use. You can place a card into the envelope and moments later show that it has vanished. Or you can display the envelope clearly empty and almost instantly a card completely can appear inside. You can even place one card into the envelope and seconds later it can be switched for a completely different one. You are supplied with a pack of 3 of the gimmicks along with instructions which give basic directions for how to handle the envelope plus some suggestions for effects in which it might be used. There are no full routines described, but there are some effects included for this size envelope in Forever Flapping Plus, Marks highly popular E-Book on magic with envelopes. The Leveridge Envelope is also available in two other larger sizes. There is the blue Standard Leveridge Envelope (152mm x 91mm approx) which is suitable for use with bank notes and which is supplied with Risky Business, and the red Jumbo Leveridge Envelope (230mm x 160mm approx), which is the one supplied with the childrens effect Birthday Card Surprise.

VACATION DESTINATION 15.00

A fooling prediction effect for table hopping work
The performer shows five envelopes, each of which is labelled with the name of a different airline. Inside each envelope is a destination, and at this stage nobody knows which airline is flying to which holiday place. The vacation destinations themselves are also shown to be on a separate set of five cards. A spectator is told that she is going on vacation and is invited to freely select any of the airlines shown on the envelopes. Her chosen envelope is placed down in full view. At this stage she has no idea what card is inside and therefore where the airline will be taking her. She is now handed the five destination cards and is asked to thoroughly mix them up. While she is doing that a second onlooker is invited to name any of the remaining four airlines. Taking back the destination cards, the performer spells the name of the airline selected by the second spectator, placing a card under the pile for each letter in the airline name. On completion of the spelling, the next card is flipped face up to reveal where that spectator could fly with his chosen airline, and the destination card and airline envelope are then discarded to one side. The remaining four destination cards are mixed again by the first spectator and a third audience member names any of the three airlines still left. This airline is spellt as before and the destination card and envelope placed aside as previously. This process is repeated until all four airline envelopes have been used up and there is just one destination card left over. Despite the fact that the destination cards are mixed each time by the spectator, and the fact that the airlines are chosen entirely at random thus making it impossible to predict each time which destination card will be chosen and therefore ultimately which one will be left over at the end, when the destination inside the originally selected airline envelope is removed, the holiday place matches exactly the destination card left at the finish! Straightforward to do, this comes with specially printed cards, envelopes, plastic carrying wallet and full instructions including patter.

UNAVOIDABLE DESTINY - RELOADED 8.00

Get away from cumbersome roughed pairs of cards with this version of the classic Brainwave Deck
The magician says that he believes in destiny and that he will attempt to show how three people, when given totally free choices, will in fact simply be fulfilling an unavoidable destiny. Showing a deck of cards, the performer says that he needs to get a card chosen but its very important that the spectators understand that the choice of card genuinely is entirely at random and so a card will be selected in a manner that proves it should be impossible for the performer to influence the choice. Turning to a spectator the magician explains that every deck is made up of red cards and black cards and he would like the spectator to select one of the two colours. Lets assume red is chosen. A second spectator is invited to now choose either Hearts or Diamonds. Lets say Hearts is nominated. Turning to a third spectator the performer requests a card value. Lets imagine 7 is given. Picking up the deck, the performer explains that this is the pack that he normally uses when doing card magic but that tonight it is slightly different. The reason, the magician explains, is because earlier in the evening he replaced one of the BLUE backed cards with one from a RED backed pack of cards. Spreading through the deck with the backs facing the spectators, the performer comes to a single red backed card which is slipped to the top. Running the entire deck face down between his hands the performer stresses that there is only one red backed card in the blue deck. Despite the fact that all three spectators believed that they had free choices, in fact their actions were simply fulfilling a destiny, as when the red backed card is turned over, it is seen to be the 7H. This is a new streamlined version of the Unavoidable Destiny routine which is easier to do than the original and which only requires a single deck. You receive a gimmicked card, which you add to a Bicycle deck supplied by you, plus detailed colour photo illustrated instructions which explain the new simplified handling.

PERFECT INTUITION 12.00

This is a knockout routine for close up at a table where there are at least 7 diners or for a small stand up show
This is one of those effects in which the spectators appear to do virtually all the work and yet an impossible outcome is arrived at! The performer selects a lady with the object of discovering whether she has female intuition or not. Spreading a pile of envelopes, each one of which contains one of the performers business cards, he invites her to select any one and to remove the card from inside. The lady helper now nominates and names any person around the table who she is emotionally close to or with whom she feels she has some empathy. It could be a relative, a close friend or maybe even her husband! Lets say she selects a close friend called Sophie. She writes the name of her chosen person, Sophie, on the back of her chosen business card and then returns it to the envelope. Five more envelopes are then added and all six are shuffled and mixed by the performer and then by the lady herself so that no one could have any idea which one contains the card with Sophie written on it. The six envelopes are now going to be distributed to people round the table in an order selected by the lady herself. In any random way that she wishes, she points to fellow diners and they receive an envelope from the shuffled pile. At some stage she must point to Sophie, but this can be right at the start with the first envelope, or at the end or at any point along the way. It is her decision. Despite the fact that the lady helper selected any business card to write on, that she shuffled the pile of envelopes herself, that she was the one who decided who received which envelope, such is her amazing intuition, when the spectators themselves remove the cards from their envelopes, Sophie discovers she has been given the card with her name on! Presented correctly this is a real reputation maker and is something people tend to talk about afterwards as it all seems so impossible. And if you wish, you can leave your business cards with the people at the table thus making this a great promotional tool as well. You receive a pack of 50 suitable sized envelopes (more are available from us see Pay Envelope 2 in The Envelope Store) plus the full instructions.

THE WISH LIST 15.00

routine which is engaging for the spectators and which ends with a genuine surprise!
Bemoaning the fact that he can never think of a suitable present to buy for his wife on her birthday or at Christmas, the performer reveals he has got round the problem by drawing up a Wish List of potential presents which he can refer to when a gift is required. A laminated list of 8 presents is slipped from a wallet and handed to a male spectator who is asked to name which gift he would like his partner to give him from the list if money was no object. Lets say he selects A Set Of Golf Clubs. The list is then handed to his partner and she nominates something else from the list that she would like to receive from him - Ice Skating Lessons for example. A set of 8 cards, each bearing the name of one of the Wish List gifts is shuffled and the man touches the back of any one entirely at random. When the card is shown, amazingly he is seen to have chosen Ice Skating Lessons! Hes done well, but his partner has done even better, because it is then noted that there are only actually 7 cards, and the one missing happens to be his selection, A Set Of Golf Clubs. The reason its missing is because she is so organised she has already put the correct card in the wallet - and when the zippered compartment of the wallet is opened, the correct present card is removed from inside! This routine works really well as a piece of close up entertainment because it is personal to the watching spectators, both the chosen helpers come out of it looking good, and the double climax of the man choosing the correct gift card for her and his selection being found in the wallet, is baffling and surprising. Virtually no re-set, this works best in an intimate setting such as at a party or when working tables in a restaurant. You need at least one couple to be in the audience for the presentation to work. You are supplied with the laminated Wish List, the set of 8 present cards and the full handling instructions. You need to have or get your own Card To Wallet prop.* *Although this can be done with most card to wallets, I use my own Professional Magicians Signed Card To Wallet as this no-palm version is perfect for the intimate setting suitable for this trick. Buy The Wish List and the PMSCTW together for just 52.00 (a saving of 8.00).

CARD TO WALLET

Here is a

ULTIMATE RIPPED 15.00

A really convincing ripped and restored borrowed bank note suitable for table side work
For years I have been searching for the ultimate solution to this magical problem, and finally I have devised a method which ticks all the boxes! A 10 is borrowed, initialled by a spectator and then folded in half. Next a Post It Note pad is handed out and a single sheet removed and passed to the magician who wraps it round the folded bank note. The note is unfolded to show the spectators signature on it. Bringing out a regular table knife, the performer inserts it into the folded note until the knifes point comes up against the central fold. Suddenly the magician pushes the knife forwards and with a rip the blade tip appears as it tears through the note and paper! The situation can be viewed from all sides and close up, and there seems to be no doubt that the knife has cut through the money. Holding the knife firmly, the magician now pulls it to one side and the blade is seen and heard to rip across the central fold as it comes out from the folded note. Slowly the Post It Note paper is peeled off the bank note. Holding it between his hands, the performer rubs across the torn central fold and then slowly opens it out to reveal that the money is completely restored! The initialled note is then immediately returned to its owner along with the ripped Post It Note paper as a souvenir! This handling has been devised for work at a table side. The audience can see everything up close and are amazed that the note is returned unharmed. Remember - the money is borrowed and initialled - there is no switch and only one note is used. The knife is totally ordinary. There is no re-set or get ready. This really is a truly convincing effect! You receive a gimmick, a 100 sheet Post It Note pad and colour photo illustrated instructions.

THE WALKABOUT COLOUR COINS ROUTINE

25.00 (complete)
10.00 (Lite version)
A magically surprising and colourful commercial routine using our beautiful Colour Coins
Those customers who already own a set of our beautiful Colour Coins will hopefully not need convincing that they are fabulous props to work with. Now I can offer a new walkabout routine using some of the coins from that set. Two coins, one red and the other yellow are examined. The yellow is closed in the performers fist, the red is openly placed into his pocket. Instantly they change places! This is repeated, this time with the yellow coin held in a spectators hand. Then in the final stage, the yellow vanishes from the magicians hand and joins the red in his pocket, and now in his hand is a green coin! Carefully worked out for maximum impact, some sleight of hand is required, although nothing very difficult. There is no re-set required. Because of the bright colours on these coins they show up very well in all lighting conditions and so the magical changes caused by the coins swapping places become easier for the spectators to see and follow. If you decide to buy this item complete, you will receive 4 of the Colour Coins, a black leather coin pouch and a DVD which features a performance and full explanation of the handling. The DVD also includes an extra Bonus routine which uses some of the coins from the supplied set. If you previously bought our main Colour Coins set you will already own the necessary coins, and so you can buy a Lite version of this trick in which you receive the black leather coin purse and the DVD only.

THIN RING AND STRING CORD 5.00

The perfect cord for Ring And String routines
We can supply a 6 metre length of the very thin bleached white rope which Mark Leveridge uses for his ring and string work. Mark recommends that a length of 60cm is about the right length to use for the moves he explains in RING AND STRING DELUXE, and so with this pack you will receive enough rope to make 10 of the appropriate lengths. It is recommended that you put a small amount of plastic electrical tape round the rope ends after you have cut them in order to prevent them fraying and in order to make the rope as easy as possible to work with.

JUMBO ANIMAL ANTICS 20.00

This is a wonderful participation routine for childrens shows which is full of fun and laughter and is suitable for all ages up to 8
Five Jumbo cards are shown, each bearing the colourful picture of an animal. Five children will come up one at a time to do mimes of the animals and a sixth child is designated as a judge to select at the finish his favourite animal performance. The magician claims to know which animal will win before it all starts! A single Jumbo card is removed from an envelope with a hole in its front and without its face being shown is slipped back inside and left in view. One at a time children are invited up in order to do mimes and actions of all the animals. The youngsters love to do this and many of them will ham it up which results in much fun and hilarity! Once all five animals have been done, the judge decides which animal was the best. The child who did the selected animal returns to reprise his role and to receive much applause. Now the magician picks up the envelope which has been in view all along and when the card in the envelope is removed it turns out to be the very same animal picture. There is no force of winning animal as any of the five can be chosen and that will be the one shown to be in the envelope at the end. The method is very simple and is all done by the envelope itself. This comes with all the colourful pictures on Piatnik Jumbo cards, the envelope and full instructions which includes the all important patter and fun presentation.

THE HORIZONTAL CARD RISE 20.00 A double card revelation including a card spookily pushing itself out of the deck
Here is an unusual idea in rising cards that is designed for the working magician. The performer displays totally freely a deck and has two spectators each remove one card. The two selections are returned one at a time to the deck which is thoroughly shuffled. The magician now says he will attempt to find the first selection with just one cut of the deck - a 1 in 52 chance of success! Splitting the deck, the card cut to is thumbed off on to the spectators hand and when it is turned over, it is his freely chosen card. Taking this selection back the performer places it face up and injogged on the top of the deck. As he slides it square with the deck, a second card mysteriously rises forwards independently out of the middle of the pack! It looks weird! Immediately the deck is fanned and the extended card removed to reveal it is the other selected card. The gimmick which makes this card rise possible does not use threads, magnets, motors, rubber bands or any other bulky apparatus. In fact the gimmick is so thin that you can fan, ribbon spread and shuffle the deck as normal while it is in the pack. The handling is not difficult but will require a little practice to get it up to performance standard. There is no re-set and so the effect is ideal for strolling work either at mix and mingle events or at a table side. This comes with a special card gimmick and Bicycle deck, plus illustrated instructions.

FOREVER FLAPPING PLUS 15.00

First there was In A Flap a ground breaking book detailing 6 individual gimmicked envelopes with many routines using them. This was followed by the publication of Still Flapping a further 3 individual fake envelopes with routines both for these plus extra ideas for the envelopes revealed in the first book. Then came Forever Flapping which combined both the above books and included some extra envelope magic in a Bonus Section. Now I am pleased to announce the publication of Forever Flapping Plus, an E-Book which provides a further 8 envelope routines on top of those originally published in the previous editions. SECTION ONE shows you, in diagram form, exactly how to make the envelope gimmicks. 9 envelopes are revealed here including the highly rated Leveridge Envelope and the extremely versatile Utility Switch Envelope. SECTION TWO provides you with 24 routines using the envelopes from Section One. There is some excellent magic here, mainly designed for close up, in which the special envelopes play an important yet subtle role. SECTION THREE brings together for the first time under one cover a miscellany of other Mark Leveridge envelope magic. The contents of this section are: The Side Steal Envelope, The Notecase, Devils Island, The Indestructible Card, Smell, The Invisible Deck Routine (also available complete and ready to work, see elsewhere in this catalogue), Switchback, Improved Instant Card Flight, Credit Transfer and Predictable. SECTION FOUR is the new addition to the publication which includes 8 items namely: The Cut & Restored Card, Intuition Versions 1 and 2, Business Card Switch (2 methods), Risky Business, Locator, Can You Make My Wife Disappear?, 3 Card Tricky and Credit Scare. Altogether this E-Book constitutes a major work on envelope magic and it is available in .pdf format as an instant download from my website.

THE MASTER ROUTINE SERIES No.5 - Wild Dice 20.00

One of our best selling close up items which can be performed with sleights and surrounded
The dice are ordinary. There are no magnets. There is no sleight of hand. There is a very clever gimmick. It will take you two minutes to learn how to handle the matchboxes, at least two solid hours to get the routine down, and probably two days to feel completely comfortable with it. You will then have a solid piece of magic. This is one very clever piece of close up hocus pocus! Larry White, The Magic Manuscript
This is a routine which combines some of the elements of the walnut shell and pea trick with the cups and balls, and yet uses dice and matchbox drawers! Three matchbox drawers are placed mouth down on the table and a white die slipped under one of them. The magician moves the drawers around and shows that no matter how carefully you follow the boxes, the die is always somewhere else! The explanation is that a magic die is used. The die then penetrates the back of a drawer and when placed in the pocket vanishes to appear back under one of the boxes again! Some people suspect that there are extra dice. And they are right! The performer lifts up the drawers one at a time to reveal a RED DIE UNDER EACH!! Immediately the boxes are lifted again to reveal a further THREE GREEN DICE! What a knockout finish! Despite what you may imagine, having read this description, there is absolutely NO SLEIGHT OF HAND! Unlike the cups and balls there is NO LOADING FROM THE POCKETS. Everything is self contained and you can perform it entirely surrounded and with spectators up very close, it makes no difference at all! The method is simple yet ingenious. Some practice will be required in order to learn and perfect the handling, but remember there is no palming or anything of that nature involved. The text booklet describes the routine carefully stage by stage, while the diagram booklet has 40 clear line diagrams. Supplied complete with all the matchboxes, dice and preparation done for you. This really is excellent!

BRAINSTORMER 15.00
This is such a strong trick that it fools magicians and laymen alike! The presentation and build up are comic - the finish is pure magic! Here is the effect that YOU will be doing soon....
The magician removes a blank pack of cards from its case and spreads it freely between the hands to show that the cards have no faces or backs. He explains that he and the spectator are going to choose a card each, but not by actually taking one, as since all the cards are blank they wont know which cards have been selected, but by NAMING one. And to ensure a nice contrast of card, one is to be a red, the other black.

Warning! If you dont buy this trick, someone is going to fool you good with it! Larry White, Magic Manuscript Magazine

The spectator is handed half the deck which he is told contains all the red cards. He is requested to name any red card and to then guess which one of the blank cards it is and remove it. The performer names a black card and removes one of the blank cards from his half to represent that one. The performers card (say the 9C) is cut into the centre of his deck half while the spectators card (for example the 4H) is cut into the middle his half. The performer now says he will make the two named cards CHANGE PLACES! Immediately each deck half is cut to reveal a blank card which the performer tries to suggest is the transposed card! The spectators believe it is all a joke, so the performer offers to make the two cards print themselves. He snaps his fingers over the two piles and asks the spectator to spread his half across the table. When he does it reveals one card suddenly printed amongst his blanks - IT IS THE PERFORMERS 9C! Then the magician ribbon spreads his half across the table to reveal - THE SPECTATORS FREELY NAMED 4H NOW THE ONLY PRINTED CARD IN THAT HALF! No rough and smooth, no sleight of hand. This is easy to do and quite stunning in its final impact. Highly praised by all who have bought it.

ROPEY ROPE 15.00

ROPEY ROPE is a rope blendo.....plus a silk on rope.....plus a cut and restored rope! It's a classic theme with much more fun and magic added!
You start with several small pieces of rope - these you try to make into one piece but all they do is magically tie themselves together! More magic is needed to make the knots disappear so that one long piece is left. You realise that you will also need a bandage, but you don't have one. Once again magic comes to the rescue! A knot is tied in the rope and instantly a silk appears in the knot - the bandage has arrived! Now a youngster selects a place along the rope's length and the rope is cut at this position. The silk bandage is tied around the cut ends to tie them together. Then, with the magician holding one end of the rope and a child helper the other, the rope is pulled, the silk jumps off and the rope restores! This 7-8 minute routine is full of business and good magical surprises. The appearance of the silk in the knot uses a new method which allows the rope to be entirely freely displayed immediately prior to the silk's appearance. As an alternative to any other cut and restored rope routine for repeat performances this is ideal, and the routine is strong enough to appeal to a wide range range of children. ROPEY ROPE comes with all the various pieces of rope, a 12" silk and the routine. You will need to supply for yourself a change bag.

While this is, indeed, a clever combination of magic and bits of business, the routine with Marks presentation makes this an exceptional piece of magic. If you do shows for kids, get this one. The kids will love it! David Goodsell, M-U-M The effect is especially good for the difficult older children, incorporating good bits of business and strong magic. Marks clever handling not only magically produces the silk, but also allows you to perform the cut & restored effect. David Jones, The Conjuror

MASTER ROUTINE SERIES DVD 18.00

In 1984 I created The Master Routine Series. This was to be a showcase for my longer routines and over the course of the next 20 years, suitable effects were gradually added to the Series until its completion in 2003. Now for the first time on DVD, the complete 12 routine Series is made available and features a wide range of effects for close up and stand up work. 1. The Commercial Sponge Ball Routine - a fast paced, surprising sequence with no re-set and which builds quickly to a strong finish. 2. The Free Selection Collectors - armed with a regular deck of cards you will learn a killer multi-phase routine. Looks skilful but not difficult. 3. Stay At Home Coins - a carefully worked out Boston Box routine using 4 coins. If you like coin box effects youll simply love this! 4. The Ring Competition - a 5 chrome ring and rope sequence which comes with a funny and audience involving presentation. 5. Wild Dice - the 3 shell game and the cups and balls done with matchbox drawers and dice. No sleights, no angles, no loading! 6. The Ring And String Routine - my 4 phase award winning borrowed finger ring and string effect. A real reputation maker. 7. Spot The Difference - a terrific jumbo card stand up routine incorporating a humorous presentation. Simple handling, no special counts. 8. The Security Pen - a great table effect in which 3 coins are magically inserted and then extracted from a pen. No re-set or gimmicks. 9. The Borrowed Ring On Pencil - a new look at the classic ring on wand. No gimmicks, just a clever 3 phase routine. 10. The Emperors Coins - an off beat presentation makes this Boston Box effect stand out as invisible coins become real before their eyes. 11. A Bic Too Far - a parlour routine using miniature Bic lighters which keep appearing, changing colour and jumping around. 12. Slo Mo - a killer restaurant coin routine in which miracles happen in slow motion and up close, at one point even in a spectators hand. Recorded at L&L Publishing in the USA, this DVD has Multi Region Encoding and so will play anywhere in the world.

ESP MATCH UP 10.00

Two sets of 5 ESP cards are shown and one set is given to a spectator to shuffle. The performer places one of his symbols face down on the table and the spectator is asked to place one of his FACE DOWN

opposite the performers selection.

The magician now places a second card next to his first as does the spectator. This continues for all five cards. The performer and spectator now slowly and deliberately collect up their cards into a pile. The order of the cards is not changed in any way. One at a time the cards are turned face up, and EVERY PAIR OF SYMBOLS IS SEEN TO MATCH PERFECTLY! Straightforward to do, the clean and innocent looking handling makes this one of the best card matching effects available.

MELT THROUGH 25.00

A half dollar is dropped into a shallow circular brass box and the lid placed on. Holes in both the base and the lid enable the onlookers to see the coin inside. A length of ribbon is pushed into the hole in the lid and amazingly appears beneath the box having penetrated the coin inside! The ribbon can be pulled back and forth and the box shaken so that the coin inside rattles! The ribbon is then removed completely and the box opened to show the coin entirely covering the inside of the box. All props are completely examinable both before and after the trick. There is only one coin used. There is no set-up or re-set and the trick is ideally suited for work at receptions or hospitality events where you are required to entertain people while they are standing. Also included in the illustrated instructions are two extra moves with the coin and box in which the coin magically jumps out of the box and then penetrates back inside again. These make an ideal extension to the main routine if you require a longer effect. You receive the brass box, ribbon and a jewellers carrying box. Provide your own half dollar.

BIRTHDAY CARD SURPRISE 25.00

The No.1 Birthday Card trick for childrens entertainers!
Since its release in September 1985, BIRTHDAY CARD SURPRISE has established itself as a firm favourite with magicians all over the country.

I have been using this at all of my childrens shows for years and it always goes down very well. The cards are well printed and the envelope is well made and as for ease of use - its a doddle. If you perform at birthday parties then these cards are a must! Gary Olding, The Magic Review

If you are looking for a strong magical way to produce or print a give-away birthday card for your childrens show, this is the one to use! TEN PRESENTATIONS are supplied as standard with this effect, presentations which cover many different performing possibilities ranging from a simple productions of a birthday card to a complete feature routine involving printing and magical painting of a card. My personal favourite routine is a running bit of business which is used throughout my whole show. It involves my attempts to call up the local magic shop in order to get them to send the birthday child a card by magic. First they send nothing, then a blank card, before finally a real birthday card makes an appearance. Interspersed between the other items in my act this makes a wonderful running gag with a great magic finish. BIRTHDAY CARD SURPRISE comes with 40 birthday cards printed in two colours on white card stock,(approximate size 8" x 6" when folded), a Jumbo Leveridge Envelope (a wonderful switch/production/vanish envelope which is easy to use and which is such a fooler!), one blank card and the instructions featuring the ten routines. The birthday cards have a place inside for you to attach your publicity sticker too, so they act as an advert as well! Plus, the wording on the cards means you can use them for Easter, Christmas or any other special event, not just birthdays! [If you work birthday parties regularly, you can buy BIRTHDAY CARD SURPRISE SPARE PACKS of 40 birthday cards to keep you in supply. Sold without envelopes or instructions, the spare pack costs 20.00. JUMBO LEVERIDGE ENVELOPES are also available separately for those who need a spare or a replacement. Supplied without instructions. PRICE:5.00]

THE DECK OF CARS Complete set 20.00 Single deck 8.00 Speed Camera sheet 3.00

Heres a tremendous novelty deck which gives you enormous scope for presentational ideas
The Deck Of Cars consists of a pack of 50 blank backed poker sized cards which have a picture of a car printed on their face. With this deck you can perform any number of fun effects, and indeed there are four routines in the supplied colour photo illustrated instructions. 1. Airport Parking. Commenting on how difficult it would be to find your car at London Heathrows Long Stay Carpark if you happen to forget where you parked your vehicle, the performer gets a spectator to magically locate his signed car when it is apparently lost amongst all the others. 2. Getting Flashed. A signed car is lost in amongst the traffic and two cards bearing coloured pictures of Speed Cameras are mixed in at random as well. Instantly the signed car finds itself trapped between the two Speed Cameras. 3. Speed King. A car is signed and lost amongst the other cars. Passing the cars one at a time in front of the spectators eyes, the performer suddenly upjogs one car. Its the signed car. How did he know? When the signed car is turned over it is the only one with a Speed Camera on its rear! 4. A Car Named Fred. A Deck Of Cars is shown to have a different car make written on the back of each card. A prediction car is placed down and a car selected in a fair and random way. It matches the prediction. With The Deck Of Cars Set you receive two packs of the specially printed cards (50 cards with cars on them and 5 double blanks in each), 12 Speed Camera stickers, a Sharpie pen and photo illustrated instructions. All the supplied routines are very easy to do.
Individual spare Decks Of Cars and extra Speed Camera Sheets are available as shown above.

COLOUR COINS 45.00

If you enjoy performing coin magic then should be of great interest to you
Many magicians use half dollar coins in their magic because the size, weight and feel of them is just right for what they wish to do. But they are not very visual. Enter COLOUR COINS. This special set comprises of 9 brightly coloured discs made of brass which are the same size and approximate thickness as a half dollar, but which show up so much better and which look so much more attractive. Any coin routine that you currently do can probably be achieved with COLOUR COINS. But in the instructions you receive with this set you receive 6 effects ready to perform. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Mindreader - a spectator successfully names the correct one of five different coloured coins removed by the magician. Chink-A-Chink - the classic matrix done with four red coins, with a kicker finish when they all change to four different colours! Box Jumpers - a red coin is dropped into a brass box and instantly changes places with a yellow coin. Tri-Colour Coin - spellbound type triple colour change of a single chip. Confusing Coins - a Hopping Halves type routine in which two different coloured coins keep jumping together before changing colour entirely. Coin Box - a simple Okito Box sequence in which a colour coin jumps in and out of the box then finishes by changing colour.

COLOUR COINS

You receive the 9 coins and a slimline brass Okito Box with weighted base. All the routines are performed and fully explained on the 45 minute instruction DVD which comes with the set. These beautiful coins, manufactured exclusively for us by Per Clausen, will transform your coin work and add a touch of class and colour to every routine you perform.

OBLITERATION 25.00
The performer borrows a 2 coin (or has one of his own examined). The coin is placed in front of a spectator on the table and he is then handed a miniature magic wand which he is instructed to wave over the coin and then tap twice. Slowly the coin is turned over to reveal that the tail side of the coin has COMPLETELY VANISHED! The coin is left for examination - and lay people are always fascinated by it! Laying the coin blank side upwards in front of a second spectator, the wand is passed over to him and he has to repeat the waving and tapping in order to make the tail side reappear. However, nothing appears to happen..until the coin is turned over to reveal that he has accidentally made the head side disappear as well! Once again the coin can be left for examination. To restore the coin to its normal condition the magician removes a second regular 2 from his pocket and by pushing first the tail side and then the head side against the blank surfaces of the first coin, both surfaces are visibly restored so that the coin can be returned to its owner. This routine has no re-set and is great for table work in restaurants or for any performance designed for a small number of people. You receive all the necessary gimmick coins, the miniature wand and colour photo illustrated instructions.

THE PRO MAGICIANS SIGNED CARD TO WALLET

45.00
This version of the Card To Wallet requires NO PALMING and can be worked without a jacket and TOTALLY SURROUNDED! It is very easy to do and has no set-up or re-set. For table hopping it is ideal. The good quality black leather wallet provided has no external slits, slides or flaps for you to conceal - in fact it can be handed to a spectator to hold. Extremely practical, this comes with a commercial routine. *This wallet is ideal for use with The Wish List, a routine which offers you a really different approach for the card to wallet*

Recorded at L&L Publishing in the USA, this DVD has Multi Region Encoding and so will play anywhere in the world.

THE MASTER ROUTINE SERIES No.9 - The Borrowed Ring On Pencil Instructions only 7.00
The ring on wand is one of the classic magic effects. Master Routine No.9 creates a clean, magical handling which gets away from some of the more 'obvious' methods offered elsewhere.
Ring on stick, pencil etc is classic magic. Here Mark has taken basic effects, not merely content to adjust moves but has created new ones in a handling you will love. It is not a selfworking routine. You need time to get the required smoothness, but once achieved then I consider the effect more than worth the effort. This is superb magic. Donald Bevan, Abra
The performer borrows a finger ring and displays a pencil and a handkerchief. The pencil is placed flat on the table. The ring is covered by the handkerchief which is then turned upside down so that the ring is at the bottom and then lowered until it touches the centre of the pencil. Suddenly, the handkerchief is pulled away and the ring is seen to have penetrated both the cloth and the pencil so that it is now threaded on the pencil centre. The ring is taken off the pencil and placed on the table. The handkerchief is folded into a flat rectangular shape and laid over the ring. The pencil is then placed across the handkerchief above where the ring is covered and part of the cloth is folded back across the pencil centre - both ends of the pencil remain in view at all times. Instantly the handkerchief is flipped forward to reveal the ring is back on the pencil centre! Finally, the ring is put away in the performer's pocket for a few moments. Both hands are shown clearly empty. The pencil centre is covered by the cloth and a spectator holds both ends of the pencil. The ring is brought back out again and vanishes. Immediately the cloth is removed and the spectator finds his ring back on the centre of the pencil he is still holding! Everything can be examined as there are no gimmicks. Some practice is required, although there is nothing very difficult. The routine is fully detailed and professionally illustrated in the instructions. [This is just one of the 12 routines fully described in, THE MASTER ROUTINE SERIES - COLLECTED WORKS, a hardback book which also features all new illustrations from Jay Fortune.]

THE WITCH AND THE PRINCE 12.00

A delightful close up story trick for young children
This lovely routine is suitable for close up magicians who work family audiences and also for childrens entertainers needing something new for their smaller birthday party shows. The story is told of an ugly witch who fell in love with a handsome Prince. When the Prince found out about the witchs feelings, he banished her from his castle. In a fit of rage the witch cast a spell and turned the Prince plus a number of other things around his castle into frogs! Four colourful laminated pictures of frogs are shown and one placed aside for a moment. A little girl from the audience is enlisted as a Princess, and she has to blow kisses at the frogs in order to turn them back into what they were before they became frogs. One at a time three of the frogs magically change into a dustbin, a vacuum cleaner and a watering can! Good job she didnt try to marry any of those frogs! Finally she blows a kiss at the frog placed aside at the start and it turns into the handsome Prince! This is perfect entertainment for young people aged 3 - 7, especially if, like me, you decide to ham up the story and use funny facial expressions to denote different characters in the story. The cards supplied are playing card size but are printed in bright colours. The handling required has been carefully worked out to make it straightforward to do. There are no special counts to master, for instance. As well as the cards you receive a plastic carry wallet and instructions which feature 14 colour photo illustrations. This is the ideal effect to carry around in your top pocket for use impromptu or as part of your regular childrens show. [If you would prefer a larger version of this effect, we can supply the Jumbo Witch And The Prince for 15.00 made in Piatnik Jumbo card size.]

THE LECTURE COLLECTION DOWNLOAD 15.00

Over the years I have put together several different lectures and for each one there has been a lecture book produced. Since the lectures are no longer being presented, but the material is nevertheless worth retaining, I have put together this special download collection which contains all the material from three of my previously published books. The Lecture Collection Download contains over 130 pages of material presented to you in Adobe Acrobat format complete with all the diagrams. The books included are: The Mark Leveridge Lecture Experience - 30 routines and ideas compiled from my early lectures. Plenty of varied close up magic using almost exclusively everyday objects. Solutions - 8 close up tricks featuring magic with coins, a diary, cards, chips, bank notes and Jumbo Cards. There is magic suitable for a close up show or for strolling work. The Serial Thriller Lecture Book - another collection of material, all of which is simple to do. The magic is suitable for close up, stand up, strolling and even with two of the routines, for childrens shows too. The printed versions of these three publications have now been discontinued, but if you had bought all three it would have cost you 35.00. This makes this download compilation great value at the price asked.

THE CLAUSEN CHIPS 35.00

This is a set of 5 expertly made brass poker chips each of which has a bright inlaid colour on both sides. The colours are not painted on but are actually layers of thin plastic - this means the colours will not scratch off or lose their lustre. With this set you are supplied with a 33 page booklet which describes 14 different routines and effects, all of which are visual and surprising. The special set of chips makes the working straightforward, in fact sometimes virtually self-working! Colour changes, transpos, even a neat mental effect are all described, and because the chips are so well made, at the end of every routine the chips can be left with the audience for examination. Although there may be similar poker chips available elsewhere, this is the Rolls Royce collection! Chips come supplied in a beautiful jeweller's box to help keep them in their best condition.

1-2-3 JUMBO CARDS ACROSS 20.00

Two large envelopes with holes cut from their fronts ARE EXAMINED. Six all alike Jumbo cards are counted - no false counts - and three cards genuinely and openly dropped into each envelope. To a humorous presentation one card is magically sent from one envelope to the other. Two cards are removed from the first envelope leaving it visibly empty, thus proving one card has travelled. A second card is sent across - only one card is left to remove from the first envelope. Finally the third card travels leaving the first envelope empty and all six cards to be counted out of the second envelope! Ideal for adult or childrens shows, presentations for both supplied. Very easy to do. Comes with all necessary Jumbo cards, two coloured envelopes and illustrated instructions. [A spare set of 2 envelopes is available Price:- 5.00]

THE COMPLETE MAGIC PARTY 50.00

Mark Leveridge's comprehensive guide to working a commercial games and magic show for childrens parties
THE COMPLETE MAGIC PARTY is a highly detailed book dealing with many aspects of entertaining children with games and magic. Based on my previous best selling tomes The Magic Party Volumes 1 and 2, this new work provides children's entertainers with a huge amount of information based on my 30+ years experience. There are four main sections. Advice Section. There are major chapters of professional advice on understanding the modern child, on how to exercise control over your young charges, on how to organise yourself in terms of taking bookings and providing good backup paperwork, on advertising, plus a whole range of other aspects of being a paid children's performer. Games Section. I give a thorough overview of how to present games in a fun and commercial way with all the main principles of running games being covered. There are also over 40 games and activities detailed which cover all ages up to about 10. Warm Up Section. Preparing your audience well at the very outset of your show helps them to enjoy what you do to the full, and this section talks about how to achieve this and why it is so important. I also detail 10 warm ups that I have used in my own shows. Magic Section. My magic is often based on tricks more usually presented to adults but to which a presentation suitable for children has been added. There are 20 magic routines described and these are not just presentations for dealer type effects, but instead use props that you will either have or can easily get hold of. THE COMPLETE MAGIC PARTY is a nicely produced hardback book which is packed full of information which will help both experienced and novice children's entertainers to get the most out of their paid work at children's parties. Everything in the book has been revised and updated and a large amount of it has been totally re-written to ensure that you get the very latest information. Also available as a pdf download for just 30.00

HEART ON YOUR SLEEVE 10.00

Here is a novel card revelation which is ideal for events such as weddings
It uses totally examinable props, has no re-set or get-ready and requires you to carry few props. So its ideal for commercial strolling work. The magician comments that people will undoubtedly have heard of the expression to wear your heart on your sleeve. It means that someone finds it hard to conceal their emotions, and the magician offers to try the expression out on a lady spectator. A large badge is displayed which has a picture of a heart on it, and this is given to the spectator to hold on to. All 13 cards from the suit of hearts are removed from a deck and handed to a second spectator who shuffles them. The lady helper now genuinely freely chooses any of the face down heart cards, notes its number and then returns the card to the pile which is shuffled again by the second spectator. Handing the lady a dry wipe pen, the performer now asks her to record the number of her selected card by writing it on the heart printed on the badge. When this is done the badge is attached to her sleeve heart side down so that no one can know which card has been chosen. The magician now takes the pile of cards and starts to show each one individually to the lady, on each occasion asking her if this is the card she chose. She is instructed to say no on every occasion and to try not to make any difference in her reply for her actual chosen card. Having run through all the cards the magician asks the other spectators whether they noticed any marked difference in any of the replies. Irrespective of whether they did, the performer claims to have noticed a slight variation on one of the cards and he quickly removes one card from the pile. When the badge is turned over and the card revealed - they match! The spectator really must wear her heart on her sleeve! You receive 3 badges (one for performance and two spares. The writing dry wipes off the badge surface each time), the dry wipe marker pen and colour photo illustrated instructions.

DECK-AID 15.00
A hugely versatile and unique card gimmick to slip into your regular deck
Some of the best things in life are simple and this gimmick, which I first used in the early 1980s, is very simple to use. Add it to your regular deck and you will be able to handle the cards exactly as normal. Shuffles, cuts, all can be done with the DECK-AID gimmick in place.

DECK-AID is an extremely intriguing key card gimmick. I have had a lot of fun playing with this gaff and have come up with some applications for the kind of card work I do. Mike Close, MAGIC Magazine

Then, at a moment's notice, the gimmick can help you to control a selected card, or more unusually, even SEVERAL cards, with the greatest of ease. You can have a card freely selected, placed back into the deck anywhere, and the deck can be placed down. Yet when you pick it up again, you will instantly be able to locate the chosen card! And it doesn't only help you to find cards which have been removed from the deck. A spectator can simply peek at a card and you will be able to locate it without having to resort to finger breaks, or crimps or any difficult sleights or handling. A spectator can cut off a small pile of cards, secretly count them before placing them back into the deck which is shuffled. You can then push a block of cards out of the deck's centre, and the number of cards will match the spectator's number exactly! DECK-AID is unique in that it can take the place of short cards, thick cards, and just about any other locator gimmick, PLUS it can be used to control single cards or a small number of cards while the deck is being shuffled! Want to keep track of the four Aces? No problem! Want to keep track of AN ENTIRE SUIT OF CARDS? Still no problem! DECK-AID can do this and more, and all without sleight of hand. You will receive three DECK-AID gimmicks - one each for blue and red Bicycle Poker decks and one for a blue Piatnik classic deck. You also receive an 18 page A5 centre stapled booklet featuring 24 line diagrams which details the exact method for handling DECK-AID and also giving you a number of strong card effects to try. Plus you will also be supplied with a 30 minute DVD in which Mark Leveridge goes through the handling of the gimmick and the 6 routines detailed in the booklet. Banish difficult card control now - get DECK-AID!

IN FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT 20.00

A really different effect for a close up show or small stand up performance using DVD films
The performer opens a jewel case to reveal a pile of 5 DVD titles stored inside. Lifting them out the discs are shown one at a time and are seen to be a selection of well known movie titles. The pile is placed under a handkerchief and placed down for a moment or given to a spectator to hold. A pile of cards is now shown and it is seen that each card face has one of the movie titles printed on it. These are shuffled and a spectator is invited to freely touch the back of any one of them. The selected one is placed sight unseen under the pile which is left on the table. Lifting up the cloth covered pile of DVDs, the performer approaches a second spectator and asks him to attempt to make one of the discs vanish! After some suitable hand waving by the spectator the discs are uncovered and counted to reveal that now there are only four remaining. Having shown each of the four titles, it is deduced that the film Titanic is missing. Could the first spectator have somehow predicted that this would be the one to disappear? The pile of cards is turned over to reveal that the selected card is indeed the Titanic card! The final surprise comes when the jewel case used at the start is picked up again and opened to reveal the missing Titanic DVD is now fixed back inside to bring the trick to a successful conclusion. This is a novel effect for a close up or parlour show and uses interesting, colourful props. You receive all the necessary discs, the jewel case, the cards and full colour photo illustrated instructions.

THE MAGIC OF MARK LEVERIDGE DVD SET ENVELOPE MAGIC DVD

18.00
A DVD devoted to the subtle art of magic with envelopes!
One of my very first inventions was an intriguingly gimmicked envelope which looked totally normal yet which would produce, vanish or switch anything that would fit inside. The Leveridge Envelope has been used in many different guises over the years and now for the first time it is revealed on DVD. This plus a whole array of other magic using envelopes as a secret device are collected together here 1. The Invisible Deck Routine - there really is no deck! A spectator drops a freely named invisible card into an examined envelope from where a real version of the correct card is removed moments later. 2. Three Card Tricky - a different take on the three card trick in which the performer attempts to steal a Queen which lies trapped between two cards inside an envelope. The ending is not quite the expected one! 3. Credit Transfer - an unusual trick which combines a sort of book test with some magic with a borrowed credit card. Suitable for stand up. 4. Pre-View - a freely selected card vanishes from a deck and turns out to be the very card placed into an envelope before the selected card was chosen! Uses the Utility Switch Envelope - a great gimmick. 5. Locator - a spectator thinks of any number from 1-52 and the performer successfully predicts the card lying at that position in a shuffled deck. 6. The Cut And Restored Card - a single card is slipped into an envelope which is only just large enough to hold it. The two are then cut through. Amazingly the card is unharmed, the envelope in two pieces! 7. Intuition - a real act closer! Great interactive trick for table work in which a spectator appears to do the magic. I use this regularly in my own commercial work. 8. Instant Card Flight - a fantastic, visual vanish of signed card from a window envelope. One moment it is there, the next it is gone, the envelope is torn up and the card is found reversed in the deck. 9. Easy Just Chance - this is the routine for Risky Business, fully described plus with details of the Leveridge Envelope it uses. Recorded at L&L Publishing in the USA, this DVD has Multi Region Encoding and so will play anywhere in the world.

IM A GREAT MAGICIAN Standard 20.00 Personalised (incl. set-up charge) 28.00

A terrific audience participation trick for childrens entertainers
Four funny colour pin badges and one good badge are dropped into an examined cloth bag. The birthday boy picks out four badges at random without looking to give to his friends, and each one turns out to be a funny badge. The recipients have to act out the badge, so if its 'I'm A Big Baby' the child given the badge has to cry like a baby, 'I'm A Loud Snorer' and the recipient has to snore loudly, and so on. Finally, the last badge is taken out and it says 'I'm A Great Magician' - so your helper must be a great magician if he has managed to leave that particular badge in the bag for himself! Your helper gets to keep and proudly wear his 'I'm A Great Magician Badge', while the others are collected up. IM A GREAT MAGICIAN comes with 5 funny badges, a cloth bag (NOT a change bag) and 24 give-away IAGM badges. There are two versions, STANDARD, in which the give-away badges have the rabbit in the hat motif and the words Im A Great Magician on them, or PERSONALISED, where your name and telephone number (up to 30 characters including spaces) are added to the printing on the badges. This means your publicity will be worn by the birthday child! IM A GREAT MAGICIAN is great entertainment and enjoyed by children of all ages - and its a little bit different too! [Additional packs of 24 IAGM give-away badges (personalised or standard) are available. Price:- 12.00]

the safe alternative to safety pins In order that you can give the Im A Great Magician Badges away to young children, we can now supply the above badge sets with the special Kids Klip plastic tongue on the rear instead of safety pins. THE BRITISH CLOSE UP MAGIC SYMPOSIUM THE FIRST DECADE

30.00
214 x A4 channel bound pages with hard covers and gloss dust jacket, 135 line illustrations, 83 routines and essays from 52 different performers Hard backed and with laminated dust jacket
The first decade of the Symposium (1989 - 1999) saw 6 superb close up conventions featuring some of the very best close up performers from around the world. To coincide with each Symposium a comb bound book was released with contributions from the performers at that particular event, and over the 10 year period an enormous amount of varied material was published. Then in 1999 a special 10 Year Anniversary Book was released featuring further NEW ROUTINES from many of the performers who appeared at the first five events. This new compilation brings together in one hard backed book virtually all of the above material. A look at the list of contributors shows you what a strong line up it is. Jon Allen, Michael Ammar, Paul Andrews, Mike Austin, John Bannon, Steve Bedwell, Stuart Bowie, Janet Clare, Aldo Colombini, Alistair Cook, Rob Cox, Roger Crosthwaite, Dusty, Keith Fields, Dan Garrett, Paul Gordon, Paul Hallas, Ken Hawes, Guy Hollingworth, John Hotowka, JJ, Graham Jolley, Dave Jones, Ian Keable, Walt Lees, Melvin Lehair, John Lenahan, Mark Leveridge, Trevor Lewis, Simon Lovell, Shaun McCree, Richard McDougall, Andy Nyman, Bob Ostin, Anthony Owen, Marc Paul, Chris Payne, Mike Porstmann, Chris Power, Geoff Ray, Kevin Reay, Tony Rix, David Roth, Al Smith, Bob Swadling, Stephen Tucker, Michael Vincent, Jorg Willich, Paul Wilson, Richard Wiseman and Tommy Wonder. The range and variety of magic offered is enough to keep even the most demanding close up enthusiast happy. Along with the ubiquitous cards and coins, there is magic with more unusual items such as Jelly Bears, goldfish, spoons, polo mints, and apples! Plus there are thought provoking articles on approaching a table, how to keep a restaurant job once you've got it, how to soften the blow of powerful magic to make it more acceptable to the public, how to entertain children with close up, how to get and cope with trade show work, plus much more. Professional comment from experienced performers. Get this book and you will share in the 'magic'!

The Symposium is concerned with Close Up Magic and as a result the contents of the book reflect this, but the range of material will appeal to anyone remotely interested in any kind of magic. Many of the routines would not be out of place in front of any reasonably large crowd. In the VFM stakes, this book is Value For Money. Mind you, with the line up, it would have a hard time being otherwise. Al Smith. Abra Magazine

AGAINST ALL ODDS 25.00

Here is a versatile effect which you can use in close up, small cabaret or children's shows. The basic presentation can be altered or modified to suit all manner of different performing styles or plot. And the method is so clean and simple to do, you will want to put this in ALL your acts!

Here is one of the possible plots

The performer borrows a valuable watch from a spectator and then informs him that he is now going to take part in a game of chance to see if he can win his watch back! Six coloured envelopes are displayed and the magician explains that inside each is a small leather luggage label wallet with a window front. Through this window a piece of white card can be seen and in five of the wallets, the card has a RED DOT on it, while the sixth has a BLUE DOT. The spectator has to find the wallet containing the BLUE DOT to get his watch back!

What I like best about this effect is that it is so openended. The presentational possibilities are almost limitless. Stephen Hobbs, Magic Magazine

In any manner of ways the spectator eliminates five envelopes which are given to the performer, leaving the spectator with just one. The performer now removes the first four wallets one by one from their envelopes, showing each envelope clearly otherwise empty as he does so, and turns them over to reveal a RED dot inside each. For the final envelope, the performer invites the spectator to also remove his wallet from his chosen envelope and this plus the magician's last wallet are turned over together to reveal - the spectator has somehow, against all odds, ended up with the one with the BLUE DOT!

Points to ponder

there is absolutely no force of any kind the spectator can give away ANY five envelopes and still be left with the one containing the blue dot there are no extra envelopes or wallets, there is no switching or suspicious moves every envelope can be shown completely empty after the wallet is removed the envelopes are not faked in any way and can be examined if required the spectator himself takes the wallet out of his chosen envelope Despite all this, he will always get the BLUE DOT!

The method is a real dream, it is so clean! You receive the six leather luggage label wallets, coloured envelopes and illustrated instructions detailing a number of presentations.

THE CUT AND RESTORED CREDIT CARD 20.00

The magician borrows a credit card, slips it into a pay envelope, puts the spectators initials on the envelope flap and then seals the card inside. He now proceeds to cut the envelope and therefore the spectators card - completely in half! With total confidence the magician claims the card will restore itself. Placing the two sections together, he cuts off the end of the envelope, reaches inside and pulls out - HALF A CREDIT CARD!

Tricks with borrowed credit cards are both very powerful and hard to find....(This is) clever and highly recommended! Phil Wilmarth, The Linking Ring

After much comic by-play, the halves are put away and the performer removes a small wallet in which he had showed at the beginning his own card. However, to the surprise of all, the performers card has vanished and the spectators TOTALLY RESTORED CARD is found inside instead! The spectator removes his card himself to confirm it is indeed his. Very easy to do. Not suitable for table hopping, but perfect for one off shows. Leather wallets, envelopes, fakes supplied. [Spare envelopes for the above trick are available in a pack of 50 (enough to make 25 fakes). Price:- 6.00]

THE MAGIC PARTY NUMBER PACK For one set 25.00 For two sets 45.00
This is a set of 30 GOLD FOIL PRINTED credit card sized pieces of plastic featuring the numbers 1-30 which are printed on a sequence of 6 different coloured cards. Designed for use in childrens games, these nicely produced cards provide a lasting set of number or colour cards with which to do the TWELVE routines supplied in the instructions. Even if you have not done games before in your show, this number set will provide some pleasant variety for all ages. Please note the special price for buying two sets together - the extra set is useful as a source of replacement numbers and also for games requiring greater than 30 numbers.

CHOIN 25.00
The magician suggests that many spectators believe that the quickness of the hand deceives the eye. But is this really true? Just for fun, the performer offers to see if he can move his hands quicker than the onlookers can see. From his pocket he removes a black jewellers box. Opening it reveals a blue centred brass poker chip lying inside. The chip is removed for display and then replaced into the otherwise empty box. Next the magician takes out an ordinary coin (10p in the UK, 25 cent in the US) and says that with this and the chip he will attempt to test whether the hand really is as quick as legend would have it! The chip is lifted out of the box and placed on the flat left hand along with the coin. Very slowly, the right hand removes the coin and places it away in the pocket, the hand emerging demonstrably empty. The left hand curls around the chip. Everyone clearly saw the coin being taken away, but did they see the magician put it back again? Without the two hands coming anywhere near each other, the left hand is opened to reveal the coin back on the left fingers next to the chip! Next the chip is lifted away and clearly shown before being placed on the table. The closed left hand then squeezes and opens to reveal that the coin has melted completely away! But that was not the quick bit. The fast part was that the performer put the coin away in the box where the chip had been. And picking up the tabled box and opening it, the magician reveals the coin now lying inside! CHOIN uses a nicely made chip gimmick which makes the presentation straightforward. There is no re-set, so the trick is ideal for restaurant work. I have used CHOIN regularly in my own commercial work and can testify to its strong impact. You receive the special brass chip, jewellers box and full instructions featuring 14 colour photo illustrations.

Leveridge has adapted some standard copper and silver coin procedures to one coin and to one Clausen chip. This makes the routine more visually appealing and clearer for spectators to follow. This is easy to do and is ideal for restaurant work because theres no reset. Spectators may not examine the chip, so its not appropriate for cocktail parties where theres no table. Highly recommended. Robert Miller, Linking Ring

KEY-VOLUTION 35.00
Two keys, one brass, one silver, are handed out for examination. The brass key is NOT CUT i.e. it has no notches cut along its length but is smooth and straight. The silver key is cut in the standard way. The two keys are openly hung on a simple key ring and a spectator grasps both keys in his fist. The blank key can clearly be seen up until moments before he closes his hand around them. And yet...when he opens his fist he discovers the blank key HAS NOW CUT ITS OWN EDGE in his hand! Both keys and key ring are left with the spectator to examine again. This is baffling, powerful magic which fools both laymen and magicians alike! It is easy to do, the fake supplied does most of the work for you. SPARE GIMMICKS. If you lose your KEY-VOLUTION gimmick or would like a spare, you may order it separately. Please return your CUT brass key when ordering. PRICE:- 18.00

THE MAGIC PARTY STICKER PACK 30.00

Over 1000 brightly coloured circular stickers are supplied ready for you to badge up the children at your next party. Not only does it mean you will never have to remember a childs name ever again, it will also enable you to easily arrange children into colour coded teams for team games. The stickers measure approximately 64mm in diameter and come 12 up on each sheet. They are printed in four different colours and have a space for the childs name to be written boldly on them. A fantastic party aid for all childrens entertainers.

THE WALKABOUT COIN BOX ROUTINE 25.00

A commercial tried-and-tested walkabout coin box routine
There are many Okito Box routines available but few, if any, are designed for modern day walkabout performing. I wanted to include this classic item in my own repertoire and so set about devising this four part routine which can be performed either at a table side or

without any table at all.

Although the routine consists of four stages, each one is fast and magical, making it ideal for the often distracting environment that strolling magicians have to work in. A jewellers box is shown and opened to reveal that inside sits a gleaming brass box with lid. This is removed and handed out for examination. A half dollar coin is also examined and dropped into the box, the lid being then placed on. Although the coin has been seen to be sealed inside the box, instantly it appears outside and the box is revealed to be empty! That is surprise no.1. The empty box is then closed and hit against the coin. Immediately the coin penetrates onto the inside as is proved when the lid is lifted off and the coin slowly tipped from within. That is surprise no.2. The coin is trapped back in the box and this is placed on top of a regular card case. With a snap of the fingers the coin penetrates out of the box, through the cards and falls onto a spectators hand! That is surprise no.3. Finally the jewellers box is examined and the Okito Box closed and placed inside. The coin is placed flat on the performers hand which closes around it and the wrist is held by a spectator. Despite this the coin vanishes leaving both the performers hands empty. Taking the jewellers box and opening it, the spectators expect to discover the coin back inside the brass box, but when the lid is flipped off a huge sponge ball expands out of the box instead! And that is surprise no.4! You receive the beautifully made brass Okito Box and lid, the jewellers box, the supersoft Goshman sponge ball and a DVD on which I perform and then carefully explain the handling. No re-set, no gimmicks, this is a highly commercial routine.

THE PRESENT 20.00

Colourful cards and masses of audience participation make this a huge hit with children
The magician offers to let the birthday child use magic to produce a present for himself.

A nice mental type effect for children. It is unlikely that the younger children will appreciate the way in which the birthday child chooses the only card which has a nice present on it. However, they cant fail to enjoy the fun and laughter that results from this routine. The cards are beautifully produced in full colour, measure 8 x 6 and are laminated for long wear. This re-sets in a second and could also be used for Christmas shows with no problem. Gary Olding, The Magic Review

A magic bag (or production box, it is up to you!) is shown empty and placed to one side. Five large cards are displayed backs to the children. Each card has the picture of a possible present on it. The cards are mixed, and the birthday boy names one of his friends. The performer spells the chosen name, putting one picture under the pile for each letter. At the finish of the spelling, the next picture will be of a present the boy is NOT going to have. The magician looks at it and pulls a face. Its a good job this is not going to be the present because this would be smelly, and everyone would go POOH!. At this all the children make the sound POOH. He then turns the card round to show a picture of stinky socks! Once again the children go POOH This spelling process is repeated for the next picture, and this turns out to be frightening, so all the children say EEEK! as a spider is revealed. This is repeated twice more and each picture elicits a DIFFERENT noise from the children.....sausages and custard - UUURRRRGGGHHH, an empty box of sweets - AAAHHH! and so on. The kids really enjoy this and it is great fun. The final picture turns out to be a proper wrapped gift and the boy uses magic to make a similar gift appear inside the bag to bring it to a successful conclusion. There are SIX BRIGHTLY COLOURED AND LAMINATED cards supplied, these look really gorgeous, plus two coloured envelopes. Very easy to do. Supply your own production device. [A spare set of two blue envelopes for the above are available price 5.00]

CIGARETTE THROUGH CHIP 25.00

Cigarette Through Coin but without the drawbacks
The cigarette through coin is an extremely popular close-up effect, but it has several MAJOR disadvantages:

the gimmicked coin cannot be shown totally openly as the cigarette penetrates it you have to switch in the gimmick at the start and then switch it out again at the finish - and you are still left palming a coin! if you want to perform the effect in different countries, you need to buy several different coin fakes every time there is a change in the coinage style, you have to buy the trick again!

Well, all this can now change when you switch over to Mark Leveridge's CIGARETTE THROUGH CHIP. Just look at the advantages:

I liked this a lot. It will require some practice in order to become comfortable with the necessary handling, but the trick is not particularly difficult. If your budget will only allow one purchase from Mr. Leveridge, this is the one Id go for. Mike Close, Magic Magazine.

you start clean with just a single brass chip with a bright red inlaid centre, nothing else is in either of your hands. you borrow a cigarette and without any switching of the chip openly push it through the chip's centre. with the cigarette half way through, the chip can be totally openly shown on all sides. as soon as the cigarette is removed, the chip can be EXAMINED by a spectator. you are left with absolutely nothing to palm, conceal or get rid of.

The special chip supplied matches exactly the red chip from THE CLAUSEN CHIPS. In the routine which comes with the effect, the borrowed cigarette is firstly apparently shrunk and then expanded again, and then is pushed through the chip centre. The re-set is quick, the handling, while requiring some practice, is not very difficult. Can also be done with a bank note instead of a cigarette. This comes with the special chip, jeweller's carry box and full routine.

MAGIC PARTY GIANT FARM ANIMALS 40.00

Looking for something big and visual for your pre-school and younger childrens parties? This is it!
The MAGIC PARTY GIANT FARM ANIMALS set comprises of five attractive and appealing large cut outs of farm animals. The five animals are: a chicken, a donkey/horse, a cow, a pig and a sheep. They are manufactured of soft yet hard wearing plastic and are produced in five different colours - blue, yellow, green, red and orange. When held by children they make a large and eye catching display, yet they are flat and so pack down relatively small. The maximum width of any of the animals is approximately 57cm, the maximum height is approximately 44cm they look just great! Supplied with this set are some ideas for use at childrens parties. I have used them at my pre-school shows, for instance, and here I use the cut outs to illustrate a funny story about Farmer Jones and his animals. This story is full of audience participation and the children really love all the fun in it. The full story is given in the instructions ready for you to put into your own shows. Then there are suggestions for a game you can use the animals for and also a song, and if you must do a magic trick with them, I give you some pointers to set you thinking on that too. If you consider yourself a childrens entertainer and you work for children aged 3-6, you will quickly find a slot in your show for these wonderful looking animal shapes. Your young audiences will love you for it!

THE SHINER 7.00

The magician shows a circular mirror which has a plain white back. It may be examined if required. He explains that this is a large version of a glimpsing device called a 'shiner' used by card cheats to secretly discover the value of face down cards. A card is chosen from a deck, shown to all except the performer, and then left face down on the table. Taking the shiner in his hand he demonstrates how by lifting the face down card and secretly passing the mirror under it, he can get a reflection of the card's value. In this way the performer explains that he now knows the card is the 10D. However, the spectators know that this is NOT the value of the chosen card, since this was the 4C! There is a little confusion for a moment, before the performer explains that the shiner has not told him what the selection is, but the value of the next card on top of the deck. Immediately the top card of the pack is turned over to reveal the 10D! The spectators have hardly recovered from this rather bizarre revelation, before the performer adds that the shiner also does tell him the value of the chosen card, but you have to turn the mirror over for that - and he turns the mirror over to reveal a huge 4C now printed on the blank rear of the mirror! Very easy to do, no gimmick cards required, this can be performed surrounded and is instantly reset.

THE INVISIBLE DECK ROUTINE 28.00

A stunning invisible deck routine for stand up shows
Originally explained in one of my early lectures, this excellent stand up routine is now available for the first time complete with all the time consuming preparation work done for you! The Invisible Deck idea has been around for years, of course, and its popularity undoubtedly comes from the fact that there is much comedy to be had when a spectator is invited to shuffle an invisible pack of cards and select one! But finding a practical, strong method for achieving the actual magic is not always so easy. I believe my solution to the problem creates the sort of magical impression that is hard to beat. The plot is as follows: A spectator is handed an invisible pack of cards to shuffle and is invited to remove any card, announcing the cards value aloud to those at the back who cant quite see it! We will assume he chooses the 4S, but the card name is genuinely a free choice. An envelope is taken from a small pile and handed to the spectator along with a pen and he is requested to sign the flap of the envelope and to slip his invisible 4S inside. The magician takes the envelope back and displays the signed flap. Then, holding the envelope out in full view he snaps his fingers over it and reaching inside withdraws a single REAL card it is the 4S! The signed envelope can be given away as a souvenir as it is totally ungimmicked. This routine requires no palming or sleight of hand. The handling is as clean as it reads! The reset takes about 20 seconds. You receive everything you need to perform this classic trick. [Spare packs of 50 envelopes for the above are available price 6.00. The above trick comes with enough envelopes for more than 20 performances]

THE MASTER ROUTINE SERIES No.7 - Spot The Difference 15.00

A lively stand up routine full of audience participation and with a surprise finish
If you want a proven, entertaining routine that you can do almost anywhere, buy this. Highly recommended. Phil Wilmarth, The Linking Ring The routine is from Marks act and it shows in the instructions. The moves are well worked out and the presentation suggested is quite good. David Avadon, Genii This is a well thought-through routine, loaded with humorous possibilities. David Goodsell, M-U-M
This stand up cabaret Jumbo Card routine is amusing, puzzling, involves the whole audience, and ends with an unexpected magical surprise! The magician borrows 10 from a member of the audience and places it in view. He then invites the audience to join him in a kind of game show called SPOT THE DIFFERENCE in which three spectators will get the chance to win a valuable cash prize amounting to....(with a quick glance at the borrowed note)...10.00! A large envelope with a hole cut from its front is shown and some Jumbo cards are removed from inside. The envelope is empty and can be examined if required. The cards are openly displayed to reveal three all alike cards, say ADs, and one contrasting odd card, for instance the 10C. The performer explains that there are two versions of SPOT THE DIFFERENCE, a three card version and the more difficult four card version. One of the Aces is shown and slipped back into the envelope ready for use later. The remaining three cards are spread to show the 10C between the two Aces. They are turned face down and two separate spectators get the chance to locate the 10C, both however failing. So far the borrowed 10 has survived! Now comes the severest test. The third Ace is removed from the envelope and added to the other cards which are mixed slowly FACE UP! It appears the last spectator cannot fail to win, until...without warning, the 10C COMPLETELY DISAPPEARS! The other three Aces are shown back and front, with no false counts, and the 10C has simply gone! The envelope is picked up and turned round to show a card is now inside - it is the missing 10C! Handling practice required but no false counts or sleights. The comprehensive instructions include a wonderful piece of recurring audience participation which creates much amusement and keeps the interest going right through the effect. Supplied with all the cards and the large blue envelope.

CO-INCI-MENTAL 15.00
A You-Do-As-I-Do routine with a totally uncluttered and simple handling
Two half decks are removed from a card case, one half having red backs the other blue. The 26 cards in the blue set are the exact duplicates of the 26 cards in the red set. A spectator is handed the blue backed set and he shuffles them while the performer shuffles the red set. Taking the blue set, the performer carefully ribbon spreads the cards face down across the table in front of the spectator. He then does the same with the red set, ribbon spreading them face down in front of himself. The magician now reaches across and removes one card at random from the spectators blue set and without looking at it or showing it to anyone, drops the card on top of the blue half deck. The spectator is then asked to reach across and similarly lift out any of the performers red backed cards and drop that selection on top of the red set. Both sets are openly squared and left in a face down pile with the two selections on the top of the respective piles. The performer stresses that he shuffled his red set and that the spectator was completely free to remove any card at all from the red spread. The top card is lifted off the red pile and dropped face up back onto the pile to reveal that the spectator has chosen, for example, the 10D. The spectator had also shuffled his cards and the performer had removed one card BEFORE the spectator chose his. The magician asks the spectator to turn over the top card of his blue pile - it is also the 10D! Quite a coincidence - but what is perhaps even more surprising is that not only did they both choose the same card, but they also managed to select the only red cards when every other single card was black - and both piles are ribbon spread face up to reveal two sets of all black cards! Unbelievably clean and very easy to do with no sleight of hand or card moves of any sort and no rough and smooth. This is surely the most natural you-doas-I-do type effect available. Comes with all cards and full instructions.

BETTER TO BE SAFE 3.00

A box of matches is shown and opened to reveal it is full of red tipped non-safety matches. The performer removes a single match and a spectator takes it in his closed fist, the box then being shut and placed on his other palm. The magician aims to make all the matches change to black tipped safety matches, and indeed when the spectator opens his fist he finds the match now has a black tip to it! Not only this, but when the box is pushed open and the drawer removed, the matches which are tipped out are all seen to have changed to safety matches as well! Simple to do, you receive the special matchbox and instructions. An ideal off beat pocket trick.

THE CAUGHT CARD 5.00

This is perfect for table hopping or just to carry around - a minor close-up miracle!
Three cards are examined. They comprise of a court card and two identical indifferent cards. Each card has a single hole punched through one end. A length of ribbon is also examined. The three cards are put together with the court card in the centre. The ribbon is then fairly threaded through all three cards via the holes in the tops. The cards genuinely are threaded and can be shown freely. Squaring the cards, the ribbon is sharply pulled and the court card instantly jumps free of the ribbon without damaging the card in any way! All the cards and ribbon may immediately be examined again, there is nothing to hide or steal away. No split or half cards, only three cards used. Comes with cards, ribbon and illustrated instructions. [This routine is one of those performed and explained on Art Of Hopping Tables DVD.]

There are 8 chapters of highly detailed advice on all aspects of commercial close up, the chapter headings being: Is Strolling Magic Right For You?, First Things First - The Approach, Table Manners, Nuts And Bolts, Special Events/Venues, The Tricks, The Pro Magician and The Final Word I have gone into great detail about the many aspects of the strolling magic job and everything I have said comes directly from my own experiences - it may not be the only way, but it works very well for me and I hope it will for you too. Interspersed amongst this goldmine of advice are 18 strolling routines to add to your repertoire: Spin Out, A Bite To Eat, Intuition, The Hypnotised Coin, My Card Sir, Badgered, The Department Store, Paper Money, The Magic Ring, Beer Money, A Groan Man, Aces Under Control, Name Dropper, Copy Ring, The Caught Card, The Acrobatic Coin, Credit Scare, Simplex Hopping Halves. HOROSCOPE 20.00
A topical close up effect in which you divine the star sign of a spectator
This was one of the most popular routines from my Celebration lecture and now it is offered complete and ready to go as part of my catalogue. I have used this effect regularly in my commercial shows and it is particularly suitable for restaurant work where you have some time to present it properly. A set of 12 cards is displayed. Each card has the name of one of the Signs of the Zodiac on it. The pile is handed to a spectator who removes their particular Star Sign card. This is slipped face down into a small pay envelope which is left in full view. A second set of 12 cards is then brought out. Each card has a Sign of the Zodiac on it but also some words which are supposed to describe characteristics of people born under each sign. The pile is shuffled and three spectators are each invited to freely touch any card. These are removed and without revealing at this stage which Star Signs have been chosen, the performer starts to read out some of the words printed on each card. As he does so he tries to assess whether the assisting spectator fits any of the characteristics! This can produce some funny reactions either from the spectator himself or, more likely, from other people watching who know him! Eventually the performer eliminates two of the cards and leaves himself with one which he hopes will be the correct Star Sign to match the spectators. The original star sign is removed from the envelope and when the two cards are turned over, the magician is seen to have got it exactly correct! You receive the two sets of Star Sign cards on Bicycle card stock, a special pay envelope and a plastic carrying wallet. There is no re-set, other than putting the cards away.

HIDE AND SEEK 8.00

This is a sort of Ambitious Card routine, but in reverse!
I was looking for an in-the-hands card routine that I could introduce into my strolling work, and it suddenly occurred to me that maybe you could do the Ambitious Card in reverse! HIDE AND SEEK is the routine that I came up with and which I have been using in my commercial work ever since. Heres the plot. A spectator selects a card, lets say it is the 3C. The minute you see the card you express concern because you explain that this particular card really doesnt like being chosen and thrust into the limelight. In fact, the card will do anything to escape the attention! The card is flipped face down on top of the deck but moments later when the top card is turned over again, it is no longer the 3C! Spreading the deck face up reveals the 3C is now hidden away back in the centre of the pack. The 3C is taken out again and placed face up on top of the pack. You explain that even if it is not actually on the top of the deck, but perhaps second from the top, it still doesnt like it. One card is dropped face down on top of the face up 3C, and instantly the 3C vanishes and is immediately found face up in the deck centre again. If the card is taken right out of the deck, this doesnt help either. Holding the 3C in your right hand, the card is passed momentarily under your arm and instantly it changes to a completely different card - the deck is spread and the 3C seen face up in the middle once more. Finally the 3C is laid face up on a spectators palm and he is asked to say I want the 3C. This makes the card so embarrassed that when the spectator turns the 3C over it now has a red back thus making it impossible to use with the blue deck! No re-set, you receive one extra card required and full colour photo illustrated instructions. Use your own regular blue backed Bicycle deck.

THE ULTIMATE LIGHTNING RING BOX 18.00

The instant appearance of a borrowed ring inside a ring box which is in view at all times
The Lightning Ring Box was one of our most popular lines in times gone by, but unfortunately it had to be discontinued a few years ago when the little box it was made from became unavailable. Now I am delighted to say a new supply of suitable boxes has been unearthed which means that I am able to re-introduce this fantastic little prop once again! The Ultimate Lighting Ring Box is an improvement over the original in two ways. Firstly, it is a little larger in dimension (55mm in diameter, 45mm tall) which means that it is easier for spectators to see their ring inside and to reach in and remove it. Secondly, the gimmicking of the box has been re-designed so that it is now totally invisible. The box can be completely freely displayed top, bottom and all the way round and it will look completely solid and normal. The effects possible with this ingenious and simple to use little box are magically very direct. The lid is slipped off the box and a length of thin rope is removed from off the cotton wool inside. The lid is replaced and the box placed down in full view. A borrowed ring is threaded on to the cord from where moments later it vanishes. The box is picked up and shaken - immediately something can be heard rattling inside. The spectator can remove the lid to reveal her ring lying on the bed of cotton wool inside. With no re-set this is great for any strolling close up work. You receive the box itself, a length of thin magicians rope and colour photo illustrated instructions featuring 2 routines, one for adult work and one for childrens shows.

EXCALIBUR 15.00
An unbelievably clean and easy to do card stab
A deck is freely displayed and can even be handed to a spectator to look at. A card is genuinely freely chosen and signed before being shuffled back into the deck. An attractive 6" pewter sword is displayed - EXCALIBUR! The deck is completely wrapped in tissue paper, and to a humorous patter line the sword is thrust down through the package. The paper is carefully pulled away to reveal the sword slicing the deck somewhere near the centre. All the cards above the sword are lifted away and the card immediately below the sword is the signed selection! No sleight of hand, this is a delight to perform. You receive the deck, a special gimmick (which can be removed from the deck leaving the deck entirely normal), the attractive pewter sword (which can be examined) and full instructions.

FLY-RING 30.00
No reel, no re-setthis must be the best Ring Flight available
There have been a number of different versions of the classic Al Koran ring to keycase plot, but none can offer the impact and ease of handling of FLY-RING. The first thing to realise is that this version DOES NOT USE A REEL. The leather keycase supplied can be opened to reveal the ring hanging amongst the keys and can be openly shown all round. There are no extra gimmicks, there is NO GET-READY. It can be immediately repeated. The routine supplied has a borrowed ring vanish from a length of cord only to be replaced by a key hanging where the ring was! This gives a logic for why the ring ends up in the keycase! This is one of the strongest effects possible for lay people. You receive the black leather keycase, cord and full illustrated instructions.

THE TABLE HOPPERS COIN INTO BOTTLE

25.00
A practical and different way to do the coin into bottle at a table side
Ever wanted to do the classic coin into bottle in your table hopping work but been concerned about how to carry around the large bottle normally used? Ever been worried about a folding coin shattering into bits as it is launched into the bottle? Ever been wary of doing coin switches very close to your audience?

10p or 25 cent versions available

Well, now you can forget all that because Mark Leveridge has come up with a practical coin into bottle that is designed for those working walk around or restaurants. A very small bottle is shown and handed to a spectator who is asked to take the top off and tip out the contents. A number of 5p coins and one 10p coin are poured out of the bottle. The spectator is requested to drop the 5p coins back into the bottle and the lid is replaced. Taking the 10p in his left hand, the performer asks the spectator to blow on the hand. Showing the right hand empty, the magician picks up the bottle and the left hand is struck against the base of the bottle opening as it does so. After a pause the bottle is lifted away and there is no 10p coin to be seen! Both the performers hands are genuinely empty. The bottle is handed back to the spectator who opens it and pours out the coins to find the 10p back inside with the 5p coins! There is ABSOLUTELY NO RE-SET, its always ready to go. We supply the bottle, 2 special coins (NOT folders, in fact they can be freely handled by the audience), a secret utility gimmick and full instructions. Available in UK 10p or US 25 cent versions. This is straightforward to do, and great magic!

THE MAGIC OF MARK LEVERIDGE DVD SET

MONEY MAGIC DVD 18.00

Coin and bank note routines a-plenty
There can be no doubt that magic with money has a great appeal to lay audiences, and on this DVD, I perform and explain a wide range of routines using coins and bank notes. While some sleight of hand is, on occasions, required, there is nothing very difficult here. I prefer to reduce the handling to sensible, performable levels rather than include moves simply for the sake of it, and so viewers should find plenty of accessible material here. 1. Paper Money - the instant transformation of a piece of blank paper into a bank note. In my version the note can be immediately handed out. 2. The Okito And Boston Box Routine - a multi-phase coin box routine in which a coin jumps in and out of the box, penetrates a card case, multiplies up to four and then changes into a pile of different coins! 3. Broke - a beautiful routine which uses a couple of really great complete coin vanishes which leave both your hands genuinely empty. 4. Magnetic Attraction - how about a matrix using four small coins and two borrowed credit cards? No sleights, no extra gimmicks, yet the coins collect. A simple yet highly effective idea. 5. Tearaway - a small Post It Note is folded round the centre of a borrowed bank note and the centre is torn from both. The note is then restored and returned to its owner. 6. The Detective Coin - a marked coin vanishes from a hand held firmly by a spectator and penetrates through a card box to land on top of a signed card in the centre of the deck. 7. Beer Money - in quick succession two coins and a bank note are produced from between two beer mats. 8. The Robin Hood Coins Across - a carefully constructed coins across routine set to a historical story. Three coins migrate from one purse to another in a natural manner. No shells or gimmicks used. 9. ATM - a deck of cards becomes a portable cashpoint/ATM machine. The performers credit card produces money inside the box, but the spectators card vanishes only to be found in an unexpected place. Recorded at L&L Publishing in the USA, this DVD has Multi Region Encoding and so will play anywhere in the world.

THE ART OF HOPPING TABLES DVD 18.00

Come with me on a genuine commercial booking in a hotel and see what really happens on a strolling magicians day at the office
This 3hr DVD covers the theory and the practice of being a commercial close up magician.

I applaud Mark for taking the risk of producing a video which only discusses the concerns of the reallife close-up worker. I dont think that anything exactly like this has been offered on the market. If you are interested in entering this field, this tape is full of useful information. Mike Close, Magic Magazine

Part 1 (90 mins) is a magical documentary as you are taken along with Mark Leveridge on one of his commercial bookings. This is an almost unique opportunity to see what happens at a professional magician's booking. First Mark explains everything that goes into the preparation for an evening of strolling magic - it's a fascinating insight into what goes on behind the scenes in the build up to a show. Then you are there as Mark entertains his audiences you see it all exactly as it happened! This is then followed by an analysis of what makes a successful table hopping performance as Mark and Chris Payne look again at some of the key moments from the evening's work and discuss exactly how all the principles of performance come together. This is the 'art' of hopping tables - it shows how all the many facets of personality, technique, audience control, and magic effects are blended into a memorable experience for the spectators. Part 1 ends with a discussion with experienced strolling magician Stuart Bowie about many other aspects of close-up performance with particular reference to restaurant and dinner function work. Revealed in a candid and truthful way are many of the intimate working secrets of an experienced strolling magician. Part 2 (90 mins) has all the trick explanations in it. Each of the items is prefaced by a re-run of the live segment to remind you of the performance, and then you join Mark Leveridge in session with Chris Payne as the full workings are discussed and shown. Even if you do not intend to perform close up commercially, the magic revealed will provide you with good material for any close up performance. Everything is fully explained and well filmed. This is the L&L Publishing produced version for worldwide viewing.

THE MASTER ROUTINE SERIES No.4 -The Ring Competition Instructions only 7.00
A highly versatile and commercial ring and rope routine for stand up performances
The big benefit here, as I see it, is the way the patter theme that Mark has developed (which is easily adapted to almost any performance situation) is guaranteed to get louder and more enthusiastic applause at the end of each segment. Its...worthy of attention from anyone interested in ring and rope magic. Jim Sisti, The Magic Menu
Although there are a number of ring and rope routines available, how many of them can be said to be actually entertaining to a lay audience? The moves themselves may well be excellent, the execution of those moves by the performer flawless, but the impression left at the finish is that it was more an exhibition of skill than a rounded piece of entertainment. THE RING COMPETITION can change all that! Here are three strong ring onto rope moves encapsulated in a comedy presentation which actually involves the whole audience! It gets them laughing, clapping and even cheering! Suddenly ring on rope is not boring any more, IT IS FUN!! The routine is designed for stand up cabaret work and uses a length of unprepared cord and a chrome ring (approximate diameter of 5"). Each of the three ring moves is carefully described in the instructions, which also reveal the all important patter and presentation. There are also many line diagrams by JAY FORTUNE to help with learning the moves themselves, all three of which are strong and not difficult to do. THE RING COMPETITION has been in my act for many years and has been performed countless times in all manner of different performing conditions, and it has always been well received. The presentation also lends itself to be changed to suit specific events, this being particularly helpful to those involved in Trade Show work, and it is also wonderful for childrens shows, especially where there is a large audience. With virtually no props to carry this idea is worth its weight in gold to anyone looking for a practical, commercial effect for almost any occasion. Watch the dem by clicking on the camera link above and you will soon see what I mean! All in all this is one routine you will be glad you added to your repertoire.

THE SPOOKS 8.00

THE SPOOKS is a simple to follow card effect using four blank faced blue backed cards which is perfect for entertaining children close up in a restaurant. The cards are shown and it is explained that each has a picture of a ghost on it. Trouble is, ghosts are invisible, so you cant see them, and thats why the cards appear to be blank! One blank card is placed on a spectators hand. The ghost on this card is called Scary. A snap of the fingers and when the card is turned over, there is a picture of Scary now printed on it! Another blank faced card is placed on top of it thats Creepy. A third blank card, Eerie, is in the performers hand. After a few moments by-play, the spectator turns over the card on his hand to discover a picture of Creepy, and the one in the performers hand now shows a real picture of Eerie! And the last card? Thats not Scary, Creepy or Eerie, it turns out to be a picture of the Haunted House where all three ghosts live! Closely based on our highly successful packet trick THIS ONE, THAT 1, (the handling is identical), THE SPOOKS is great fun to do and comes with four specially printed cards and full instructions. The effect can be easily re-set in front of the spectators.

PERFECT CRIME 45.00

Nicely routined close up magic using two beautifully turned brass boxes
Two attractive brass boxes with screw on lids are shown. One has a green inset in the lid and base, the other silver. A borrowed ring is dropped into the green box and a small coin belonging to the performer is sealed inside the silver one. With no apparent moves, the magician causes the two objects to swap places and spectators can unscrew both boxes to remove the ring from the silver box and the coin from the green box leaving both boxes to be examined if required. The boxes are beautifully made and no sleight of hand is required.

THE MAGIC PARTY FLOOR SPOTS One set 30.00 Two sets 52.00

An audience controlling idea for childrens parties which is used for games as well
Heres a really useful product for all childrens entertainers and one which I have been using very effectively for over 15 years. The Magic Party Floor Spots consists of 6 circular rubber mats which come in 6 different colours. They are designed to be anti-slip and each spot measures approximately 10 inches in diameter. These spots can be used in a number of different ways. In the instructions you receive details of three games (Musical Floor Spots, Clock Knockout and Stepping Stones) which they are invaluable for, particularly if you buy two sets (note the special price break above). But they can also help you in other ways too. For instance, if during your magic show you need to get several children out to help you, and they need to stand in a straight line facing the audience, how do you get them to stay in their place? Children find it difficult to orientate themselves in a random designated space. However, if you drop down a line of the Floor Spots and get the children to stand on a particular colour, suddenly they find it much easier! Then again, maybe you have been asked to do your show in a large hall, but there are only a small number of children. If you are doing games in which they will have to dance around at some stage, you can suddenly find that they disperse to the four corners of the hall making it much more difficult for you. So in this case, you can use the Magic Party Floor Spots to mark the boundaries of where you want the children to stay - the party only takes place inside the coloured circled area. These Magic Party Floor Spots are good quality and are very tough - I am still using the original set that I bought 15 years ago - so you will get great long term value out of them.

RISKY BUSINESS 15.00

A Just Chance routine using the highly versatile Leveridge Envelope
This close up routine has great audience appeal as it taps into two things that many spectators are interested in, namely money and a chance to win some! Three blue envelopes are shown and opened one at a time. Two are empty, one contains a 20 note which is removed, displayed and then replaced. The three envelopes are hidden under the table or behind the performers back for a moment so that they can be mixed, and then they are placed out on the table. A spectator is invited to try his luck and indicate the envelope he thinks contains the money. On selecting one it is immediately opened to reveal it is empty and one of the others is shown to have the money inside. This is repeated a second time, but on this occasion a spectator can select two of the envelopes. Still he manages to miss the one containing the money! Finally, one of the empty envelopes is placed to one side and the other two mixed. Its now a 50/50 chance. But still the chosen envelope is empty. The performer says that the spectators may wonder what would have happened if the other envelope had been chosen. Well, you should never gamble because you can never win - at which point the other envelope is opened to reveal that it too is now empty and the 20 is found in the envelope which had previously been placed to one side! You receive three specially constructed letter size Leveridge Envelopes and full instructions. These envelopes are excellent gimmicks as they allow you to produce, vanish or switch anything that will fit inside them. RISKY BUSINESS is simple to do and fun to perform. If you require single replacement Leveridge Envelopes if yours become dirty or damaged, these are available from The Envelope Store at a cost of 5.00 each.

PROMO CARDS 12.00

A practical way to produce your own business cards on Bicycle card stock
For many years I have been producing my own short run business cards and other speciality cards by attaching colour printed adhesive stickers to Bicycle playing card stock. I call these Promo Cards. This process has the advantage that because I only produce the number of cards that I need, my business cards can always have the latest information on them, without me having to go to the expense of having thousands printed only to throw the vast majority of them away once they become out of date. It also means that because they are attached to Bicycle card stock, my business card can be mixed in with other regular Bicycle cards to produce effects which culminate in the spectator walking away with my publicity in his hands. To describe how you too can make this type of card I have produced a 28 page A5 size booklet. The exact information you need to make Promo Cards is fully disclosed plus I provide full details of 7 routines using them. Each effect is quick and magical and requires little technical skill. The two main moves required, although standard, are still carefully described in the booklet. You receive the nicely produced booklet which features a number of colour photographs to supplement the text, a special card required for one of the routines plus a plastic card wallet. WE CAN PRODUCE YOUR PROMO CARDS FOR YOU The stickers required to produce Promo Cards have to be trimmed down from larger parcel label stickers as there is no commercially available sticker of a size suitable for a Bicycle card. To get round this, we have had stickers of the correct size specially manufactured and as a result we can produce packs of your personalised business card stickers for you. You simply supply us with the text and any graphic you want on your cards, and we will lay it out for you and, once you are happy with the way it looks, we will supply you with the colour printed stickers. You receive a pack of 4 dozen colour printed stickers so that all you have to do is peel them off and stick them on to cards. A pack of 4 dozen costs just 6.00 plus a first time set up charge of 8.00 to cover the time taken to produce your Promo Card original. See our website or call us for more details.

A SIMPLE GUIDE TO CREATIVITY 12.00

De-mystify the creative process and open up your mind to simple yet effective ways to improve your magic
Over the years there have been a number of books which have sought to create some sort of system to explain and to formalise the process of magical creation. The problem is that in seeking to explain and elucidate the process so much jargon and complex theorising takes place that the average reader is left with little that is understandable to work on at the finish. A Simple Guide To Creativity sets out to cut through the complexity and to present a guide that is eminently readable, totally understandable and above all will leave the reader with practical ideas to act upon. Creativity is not just about coming up with brand new tricks and ideas. In fact, in many ways this is the least likely form in which creativity will manifest itself. Creativity for most performers comes through the ways that we adapt and change the magic that we do in order to improve it or to make it more suitable for our skill level and ways of working. This book will help you in practical ways to make those important improvements. In easy to follow stages, creativity is broken down and analysed and then concrete examples and strategies are explained to enable you to immediately go to work. Anyone who has the desire will be able to take the information imparted here and use it to make a difference. The book is A4 in size, runs to 32 pages and is centre stapled with glossy artboard covers. The Chapters are: What Is Creativity?, Building Blocks For Creativity, What Does A Trick Consist Of?, The Core Effects and Creating A New Trick. Now also available as an E-Book - 7.00 (as a pdf download) or 9.00 (as a pdf file sent by mail on a CD)

THIS ONE, THAT 1 8.00

A neat packet trick thats full of puns!
This is a splendid carry-round packet effect which is great fun and which creates some surprising visual magic too! Four blue backed cards are counted face down and then shown to each have a blank face. As the patter line progresses through a series of funny puns, words keep appearing printed on the blank card faces until all four cards are each covered in huge writing! The spectators chuckle at the patter, and are amazed at how the blank cards become totally covered in words! THIS ONE, THAT 1 uses only four cards and can be re-set in front of the spectators thus making it ideal for strolling magicians.
