1. Open an approved shop drawing for water tank location at the roof. 2. Tanks to be installed should have passed the leak test inspection and QC inspection approval (i.e. no defects). 3. Construct concrete pad with at least 1 c! thick with 1 c! e"cess fro! the botto! sides of the tank. Tank concrete pad shall be cured. Check concrete pad fro! unnecessar# cracks. $. Check the tank fro! an# da!age and cracks upon deliver# to roof for installation. %. &nstall the tank on concrete pad' level' plu!b' and fir!l# anchored. &nstall or fill the gaps with non(!etallic and non(shrink grout for the !echanical base bearing surface of the tank. ). *rranged the tank read# for the access of installation for water suppl# pipe' valves' water s#ste! accessories' drain points and distribution pipe. *lso arranged so that devices needing services are accessible. ).1 +repare the tank for installation having all necessar# fittings and connectors for inlet' outlet' air breather and other tank accessories. ).2 Connect water piping to roof water storage tank with unions or adaptors and shutoff valves for both tank suppl# line and fi"ture suppl# line. )(3 Connect tank drains with shutoff valves and discharges over closest roof drains. ).$ ,ake connections to dissi!ilar !etals with dielectric fittings. ).$.1 -se approved fittings for connection of dissi!ilar !etals or !aterials. ).$.2 *ppl# Teflon tape around the threaded part in reverse direction of tight.
