Philosophy Final: Though Materialism and Idealism are both very well thought out philosophies, they are

two entirely seperate things. Materialism is the belief everything is one source of material: which is currently atoms. Everything in this universe is lin ed to atoms, but it used to be lin ed to !ust the term matter or even water at one point. This contrasts to idealism, the belief that reality is in your mind. Everyone"s reality is believed to be different, ma ing it dualistic, unli e materialism, which is generally monastic. This also believes that the mind creates our reality. For e#ample, our mind created atoms, and because it"s accepted in general society, it"s accepted in everyone"s minds, and therefore, it"s a piece of everyone"s realities. $ith e#istentialism, it is the belief reality is considered with the human being and created by freewill or determinism. Freewill, though it mean seem optimistic with the fact that freewill is basically your own agency, this philosophy views it as a completely negative part of our daily lives. It brings angst, an#eity, and dread from our agency, since ma ing choices stresses our minds. $e also have universal morals, which would be our %limits.& 'imits are basically our morals, such as opposing to illing people or things that ghastly. There is another perspective in e#istentialism: it"s the belief that all our actions are predetermined. This is called determinism, and it has three topics( religious, which means, if there is a )od, everything is predetermined. *cientific is a bit harder to e#plain, but it means basically that everything functions li e a machine. There is one output. The last one is behavioral. $e are our own biology, and everything we do is coded in our +,-. ,iet.sche and /ier egaard are considered the founding fathers of this belief. I"ve always considered myself an idealist. The main reason is that I thin everything is made in our minds, and things function because our minds want it to be that way. The same beliefs in society, which would be considered facts, can always be changed if there"s a flaw that someone else"s reality notices. $e find out more to our own reality to putting pieces of our pu..le together with other realities. I hope

that made at least a bit of sense. I thin I li e philosophies in general, and I thin all are correct to some e#tent due to the fact they already all lin to each other, anyway. I really do love idealism because in a %computer& sense, it"s the motherboard of all the ideas.
