Harriet Tubman was a wonderful and brave person. She helped to free slaves. She was born on 1820. She was born in to slavery in Dorchester County.MD. Harriet didnt go to school because she was s slave herself. She worked for her master who had rented her to out to other men in the area who needed her. Her masters were so cruel and they didnt take care of her needs. Her dream was fight for her liberty so long as her strength lasted, and if the time came for her to go, the lord would let them take me. Harriets birth name was Armenta Ross. She was one of the 11 children that her parents Harriet Greene, Ben Ross had. As a child Harriet was hired out by her master as a nursemaid for his baby. She would stay awake in the night to take care of the baby. When she refused to help her punishment was that she got whipped on the back. She would be unconscious for 2 days and she suffered from seizures for the rest of her life. In 1844, Ross married a free black named John Tubman and took his last name. She also changed her first name, taking her mother's name, Harriet. In 1849 she decided to run away because the other slaves were going to be sold and her husband didnt want to go. Harriet had a child named Gertie Davies. One turning point in her life was when she did the Salem Press. Her goal was to free slaves and she freed a lot of them. Some people had helped her. One person was Thomas Garrett. Another person was William Still. Samuel D. Burris also helped Harriet Tubman. There are more

people who helped her. But these were the main people that helped her. Also she had used a underground railroad to help free the slaves. Mmmm8 8mij Harriet Tubman faced many challenges. One challenge she faced was the slave masters. Another challenge was to bringing slaves to free territory. She was sold by a lot of masters. She worked in many places. The biggest challenge she faced was not being able to live with her family. I think this person struggled to reach her dream. This is because every time she tried to free the slaves she got caught but not every time. Also because she left her home at young age and didnt have her family by her side. The greatest accomplishment Harriet freed slaves. This was a good accomplishment because it led to freedom. She had freed 300 slaves from being sold. She used an underground railroad to free the slaves. This was one of her biggest accomplishment. Harriet Tubman had many cause and effect in her life. One cause and effect is that when she escaped she ended up with 19 missions and freed 300 slaves. Another cause and effect is that she escaped to Philadelphia and got an opportunity to work for the Union Army as a cook. This was an impact to the Civil Rights Movements because she had helped free slave and made sure that everybody got their rights. 1. Many people will like to be Harriet Tubmans friend for many reasons. One reason is because she freed 300 slaves. She used an underground railroad to free slaves. She didnt see her family. Also, at

young age she was a nurse maid. Also she was a hero. Harriet Tubman died on March 10, 1913, Auburn, NY
