Interference of Light Wave

Interference of light is a phenomenon that occurs when two waves meet while travelling along the same medium.

Light from same source pass trough two narrow slits which are close together. Interference can be seen as the bright and dark fringes.

1. The constructive interference occurs when two crests or two troughs meet each other. 2. The destructive interference occurs when a crest meets a trough. 3. Anti-nodal line is a line joining all the constructive interference points 4. Nodal line is a line joining all the destructive interference points
