Filling New Prescriptions: Adding a DUR

DURs (Drug Utilization Reviews) are OTCs or prescription drugs filled at another pharmacy but added to the PharmaClik Rx profile for record keeping.

1. Search for and open the Patient record. 2. Press or click the Profile tab. 3. Press or click the Rx button. 4. Press or click the Add DUR button. 5. Search for the DUR drug. 6. Once the drug is selected, press or click the OK button.

7. Press or click the OK button if there are no interactions indicated. If the Interaction Summary appears be sure to read the interactions and then press Accept to proceed 8. Type the number of tablets or capsules in the Qty field. 9. Type the days supply of the drug in the DS field. 10. In the Is this medication prescribed or an OTC? field, select OTC or Prescribed from the drop-down menu. 11. Type the SIG or dispensing directions for this drug in the SIG field. 12. Press or click the OK button. Special information about the DUR can be added to the Notes section

The patient profile will have a new prescription that has a status of DUR. In order to keep the dates for this DUR current on the patient profile you may wish to Refill DUR
