inverter tripping out

by summersea Sun Oct 03, 2010 4:52 pm Update: My installer came out and f ixed some extra bits on his side (increased the size of the lines to integral) but the problem remains. My installer, Soltek, has been on the job, prof essional and easy to deal with. Integral Energy have been evasive, to say the least. Speaking with a customer manager who was well practised in calm, obstructive rhetoric made matters worse and the matter is now in the hands of the ombudsman. From there Integral were to contact my installer within 2 days. T hey did.A woman this time who could of f er no opinion or solution or even a plan as to how they will manage the situation. I believe the conversation was short (my installer is not an overtly aggressive or angry person that I have seen ) as she simply had nothing to say (ie she f ulf illed the obligations as per ombudsman and made contact). Soltek have inf ormed the ombudsman and we are waiting to hear f urther. I spent until 0100hrs chasing stuf f on net and f ound a 2008 document of the "complex" Shoalhaven network and how upgrades would be needed. T he problem is I am putting out too much power - even when half the panels are of f if the sun is out (ie only 5Kw if that makes sense) f or it to be taken up in the present system. Even though Integral signed of f on the contract, the f irst man I spoke with said it was up to me to f ix it that they could receive the power. I heard on the grape vine f rom a electrician that a house down the road had a power blow out (all lights went out) and it was assumed due to my system. I am told "other similar problems elsewhere" by a more honest Integral energy worker but he would not elaborate or say where in their system or what locality. Integral's handling of the problem so f ar is woef ul. I am wondering/waiting to see whereI have to go to f rom here...?the media.
