TEACHING AND ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE

City Hall Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23501 August 1985-Present Business Teacher/Instructional Technology Specialist/IT Department Chair Teach Computer Information Systems and Advanced Computer Information Systems to high-school and postgraduate students at the Norfolk Technical Center, ensuring students meet course competencies, earn IT credentials to validate skills, and are prepared to enter the workforce or continue their education. Developed the Internet Safety curriculum for the high-school level and district survey to attain student, parent, and staff feedback. Led Future Business Leaders of America to regional and state recognition, including Gold Seal Chapter, Local Chapter Annual Business Report and Outstanding Regional Chapter awards. Successfully coach Great Computer Challenge teams and have volunteered for the past ten years. Secured numerous grants for improving student achievement including the Best Buy Foundation Grant award.
