Run for Water

A run to bring water to families in Africa dying of thirst

Saturday, March 22: World Water Day
Proceeds from the run go to
Amman Imman, which means
“water is life” in the local lan-
guage of the people the project
seeks to help. Amman Imman
is a program of The Friend-
ship Caravan, a 501c(3), with
headquarters in Arlington, Va.

Who: Runners interested in supporting a grassroots well-digging project in Niger,

West Africa.

What: A relay for water in Washington, D.C. Runners pick a distance and a
fundraising goal.

Where: Runners will be assigned a point of departure, according to the

National Marathon route. All runners will run one portion of the route.

When: Saturday, March 22: World Water Day. 1st runner departs 9 a.m.

Why: Because no one should die simply because they do not have enough water
to drink.
