Safety & Security with the Internet of Things

The Internet of Things Ecosystem Demonstrator is funding 8 businessled projects to deliver and launch Internet of Things clusters.
Each cluster has a clearly defined application scenario and is an open zone for experimentation and innovation. This will help industry address issues such as ecosystem development, validating business models, interoperability, data availability, trust and cost. - Technology Strategy Board, March 2013

Trusting the Hub

This projects aim is to create a proving ground for an Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem on the University of Surrey's campus and then extend the concepts into the adjacent town of Guildford in a way that demonstrates how key IoT challenges can be resolved. These challenges include how to: - implement usable, practical and acceptable policies for

the use of personal and potentially sensitive data;
