Introduction
The term "brownfield site" means redevelopment or reuse a land of which may be complicated by the presence of hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant.

Redevelopment Strategies
The land can reuse only when the contamination is reduced by 75% or more. There are some new technologies used to reduce contamination of soil such as chemical oxidation and enhanced bioremediation technology.

Most brownfield lands used as recreational park, housing areas and office areas. However, these lands not suitable to used for agriculture because sometimes small amount of contamination left in the soil. One of the most well-known country for brownfield redevelopment is USA, which has successfully converted many contaminated lands into shopping and offices areas.
