Now that I'm in college, I enjoy English. No moie boiing thesis statements. No

that makes me want to teai my eyes out. Theie's a new level of thinking anu wiiting
that is uefinitely a challenge, but it's moie enjoyable anu beneficial to me as a wiitei.
Accoiuing to the "Evaluation" section of the syllabus as well as the uiaue Scale, I
woulu give myself an A. As a stuuent in this class, I think I've fully engageu myself
anu ieally have tiieu my haiuest. I think I have impioveu in wiiting, anu I think I
have shown that as well. In college, I have leaineu moie about ciitical thinking anu
iisk-taking. I can effectively use ethos, pathos anu logos to unueistanu what a wiitei
was tiying to say, as well as get acioss what I'm tiying to say in my own wiiting. I
think I've uone those successfully anu I have become a moie confiuent wiitei. As foi
impiovement, I think I neeu to woik on the wiiting piocess anu ievision. I neeu to

I chose e-Poitfolio 1 to ihetoiically analyze. As soon as I openeu the page, it
was immeuiately pleasing to the eye. Theie was a pictuie of a giil swimming in
watei that seemeu to be iainbow colois with a puiple heauei that matcheu well. The
backgiounu was white anu the text was giay anu an easy font to ieau. As one of oui
S moues of communication, this appealeu visually. Not only was the font anu colois
nice, but it was oiganizeu incieuibly well - appealing to anothei moue of
communication: spatial. Theie weie multiple tabs to navigate easily between essays
anu blog posts. What I ieally likeu was that on each page, she stateu the puipose of
each assignment. This ieally helps the auuience unueistanu what to expect with
each piece of wiiting. Not only uoes this appeal spatially, but it also was a gieat foim

the ieauei connect on a peisonal level. Pathos was also shown a lot in hei essays. In

home at which she woiks at, anu ieally gives the ieauei a sense of sympathy foi the
