Simply,humansarehypocriticalwhenissuesdealwiththemselves.Foracommunitytobe possible,theinhabitinghumansneedtobeequallyconcernedabouttheirneighborswelfareastheir own.Astheabundanceofresourcesatthecampcontinuedtodecrease,theinhabitantscouldnot overcometheirownselfconcerntoworryabouttheirneighbors.Conflictsarosetowardsspace,food, clothes,andothermaterialsubjects.Wheneverthesecurityoftheseobjectsisthreatened,humans expressanintenseanxietytoreinforcesecurity.Itseemsasthoughtheseelementscontributetoones perceptionofself,andwhentheseelementsarethreatened,onefearsthelossofhisidentity.Withthe riseofthievery,thecommunitywasatriskofselfdestruction,andthisdiseasecontinuedtoprogress throughthepopulationasthisanxietyofthestateofinsecuritygrew.Twomajorideologiesseemto promotethis.Firstly,bystealingthesegoods,theinhabitantsarehelpingthealliesbecausetheJapanese willbeinclinedtoreplacethefoodtoavoiddeficiencies.Inreality,anydeficitofgoodsistheproblemof theinhabitants,andtheJapanesewillnotreplacelostgoods,foritisuptothecommunitytodistribute thegoodsoveraperiodoftime.Thesecondideologyseemstobe,ifmyneighborisstealingand enjoyingthesefinecuts,thenwhyshouldntI?Theideaofself,andthephilosophytobebetterthan

    onespeersiscommunitydestructiveinthissituation,andpromotesachainreaction.Withthe continuouscurtailmentofthequalityandquantityoffoodgiventothecamp,peoplehavebeenreceiving lessfoodandhavebeenexperiencingagreateramountofdiscomfort.Consequently,peoplehavebeen moreinclinedtostealtosatisfytheirdiscomfortsbeforetheopportunitypasses.Thesetwoconcernsof selfandonesneighborarereliantoneachother,andItseemsasthoughthesourceofthesebehaviors isalackofethics,whichistiedwithreligion.
