Kinlea Hensel English 111 21, February 2014 Annotated Bibliography: Birth Control Kaplan, David. Birth Control Pills: Teen Version. EBSCOhost. Eds.a.ebscohost.com, 2013.Web. 19, feb.2014. This article was made to inform girls what birth control pills are used for, how they work, and other important facts they should know. Birth control pills are used for you to not get pregnant until you are ready to have a baby. Mostly teenagers are on it, and some women that dont want to get pregnant. Also there used for an irregular period to help maintain it. EBSCOhost was a good source. This was the most useful to me, because it answered my question about what to tell girls that are beginning to take birth control. It gave me reasons on how you should take it and when you should take it. Also, it gave me things that you should not to do while taking it, so I know ways to keep them from harm. I believe this article isnt bias, its true facts about birth control, its telling you how it works and how you use it. The author doesnt state his own opinions. The goal of this source is to give people important facts about birth control, the definition of it, and the usage of it. This fits in my research by, giving me ways to explain birth control to other girls and what they should know before taking it. This source was very helpful to me, it gave me the answers I needed for my question and more information about birth control. This source fits in my research by telling me the side effects and how to take it. It has changed the way I use birth control, because I take birth control and now Im going to watch I what I do and what I eat before I take my birth control pill.

Bradford, Andrea. "Birth control pills and cancer." Salem Health: Cancer. Salem Press.com, 2008. Salem Health Web. 21 Feb. 2014.

This article was designed to inform girls about birth control and cancer. Cancer is a disease caused by uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in the body. Birth control is a medicine used to keep girls from getting pregnant. Also, its a pill that is a tablet containing a synthetic estrogen, such as ethinylestradiol; synthetic progesterone, such as norethindrone; or both. It says taking birth control increases your chance of having cervical cancer and breast cancer. This article is telling you birth control is something you shouldnt take because it can cause cancer and other bad affects in your body. Out of the two sources I used, this was the least useful to me. It mostly talked about how birth control can cause cancer. It didnt answer my question about what I should tell people before they take them. It compares with my other source by giving me reasons birth control can affect you and bad things that happen while taking it. I believe this is bias; it tells you how it causes cancer and the different types of cancer. It only looks on the bad sides of birth control. This fits in my research, by telling me bad things that could happen by taking birth control. It can help me tell others, before they start to take it. It only gave me bad views on birth control, not any of the good reasons why its a good thing to be on. I can use it by, inferring people the effects on birth control. It has helped me with my argument by inferring me birth control can cause cancer. It has changed my point of view on this topic; it makes me not want to take birth control, because I dont want to increase my chances of having cancer. This article would be more useful if it gave me ways to explain it to young teens about taking birth control and how to take it, when you do.
