Students participating in the Introduction to Teaching seminar will be provided with an overview of good practices in teachingencompassing assisting in tutorials, conducting laboratory sessions, and giving lecturesas well as common dos and donts to be applied when students acquire teaching positions. Note: UPM graduate research fellows (GRF and GRA) are required to enrol in this seminar.

Bionotes
Professor Dr Zainal Ariffin Ahmad started his career as a lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia in 1994. He has 20 years of training, research and consultancy experiences at Northern Illinois University and Universiti Sains Malaysia. He was the Member of the Academy of Management (AoM), IEEE, MIHRM, MIM, QRAM. Professor Dr Zainal Ariffin Ahmad has received awards throughout his career, as lecturer, researcher and professional. He was awarded the Anugerah Akademik Negara 2008 under the National Award for Teaching in Applied Arts. Currently, he serves as Head of Business Research for Applied Innovations in Neurosciences (BRAIN) Lab, Graduate School of Business, Universiti Sains Malaysia.
