1. If you were to choose the single most important thing that matters to you, what would it be and why?

(Share the experiences, lessons and insights that shaped your choice). (300 word limit) Simple experiences often result in profound lessons. I learnt my lesson through one such simple experience. What was it? Let me enunciate with a poem: I started learning music at the age of four; To me, then, it was just another daily chore. Im not going to be a singer. Why should I learn? I demanded Youll realize the importance later. Now go learn, my mother commanded Eight long years flew, Time came to bid the art adieu. I quit, with a smile, But Alas! After a while, I yearned to sing, And in bathrooms when I did (sing), happiness it would bring Once a pain, music turned into my passion I practiced and practiced until I could master the art, in fashion It then struck me that in order to learn, I had to first love, And that the two things fit each other like a hand in glove. I come from a family which believes in the tradition of teaching its children an art form - dance, music etc. I was never keen on learning music when I was young. I attended the classes not because I liked them, but because was forced to. Several years later, an article kindled my interest in Music and I began to explore, out of interest. I believe it was at this point that I actually started learning. So, what about those eight years? The reluctant practice during those years had tuned my voice, but, it took passion to put it to use. To me, it is hence very important to develop a passion in things that I do. I would like to do things more for the pleasure, than for the pressure of it. When I look back, I would like to feel great about the things that I had done.
