Heather Kortlandt Post-Assessment: What action plan can you develop (for yourself) which addresses the following questions: ! What support do you need to successfully implement your learning from this day-long professional learning e"perience# Some support that I would need would be support from administration on wanting to work towards inter-rater reliability, support to head towards more specific preconference and post-conference conversation protocols. $! What will hinder your a%ility to implement your new learning# Im not sure if anything will hinder the learning too much as we have a pretty collaborative administrative team. Other ideas or versions of some of this learning is more likely. &! What steps can you ta'e to remove or address those %loc's so that you can successfully implement what you have learned in this seminar# The most important thing to do is clearly represent and describe the why! behind any of the new pieces we try to implement. Once people understand and buy into why!, then implementation will be much easier. (! What steps will you ta'e to %ring along the teachers and administrators in this new challenge and opportunity# ". I will begin with sharing the pre-observation and postobservation protocols with principals. I will ask if they already have some that they do and then as a team we

will review these and pick or develop one that all buildings can use. #. I will create a teacher evaluation binder that contains all of the dates$deadlines guidelines for principals and also the common pieces that we all agree to do. %. &rincipals will roll out the changes to teachers during their growth goal meetings in September. )! What feed%ac' data can you o%tain during the upcoming year to determine your progress as a planner and facilitator of quality evaluation processes for personnel and programs! 't our administrative council meetings, we will follow up to see how each new piece is going.
