CIMA LABS is a drug delivery technology company that develops and manufactures prescription and over-the-counter drug products using proprietary drug delivery technologies. As a summer intern, you will work in the Research and Development Analytical Group. The scope of the work comprises analytical chemistry activities associated with the development of new dosage forms and drug delivery systems. These activities include method development and validation, analytical support for formulation and process development, drug product stability testing, laboratory sample analysis and documentation. Analytical technologies employed include HPLC, dissolution/drug release, and various types of spectroscopy. We are seeking students who have demonstrated a strong academic record and the capability to perform well in the laboratory. Qualified candidates will have completed six semesters of undergraduate work towards a bachelors degree in chemistry or a related field or be enrolled in or attending graduate school. Completion of a quantitative analysis course is required, and completion of an instrumental analysis course is preferred.
