Our Founder and Our Saint Saint John Baptist de La Salle

He embraced all classes, all conditions of society. By making the free schools popular, he grasped the growing needs of society in his own day and for all times. No phase of the educational problem escaped his penetrating vision.
John Baptist de La Salle was born to a wealthy family in France, but he was so moved by the plight of the poor that he resolved to dedicate his talents and advanced education towards the service of children who were often left to themselves and were badly brought up. This brought him to establish free schools and form the community that became known as the Brothers of the Christian Schools. He made radical reforms that responded to his societys needs and changed the structure and system of education altogether. He made education available to all classes and taught in a language that his students could understand. He went on to establish training colleges for teachers, reform schools for delinquents, technical schools, as well as secondary schools for modern languages, arts and sciences. His work quickly spread through France and continued to spread across the globe after his death. In 1900, John Baptist de La Salle was declared a Saint. In 1950, in recognition of his exemplary life and contributions to education, he was made Patron Saint of All Teachers. His legacy lives on today, as the De La Salle Brothers, assisted by more than 100,000 lay colleagues, teach over 1,000,000 students in 82 countries.

Saint Benilde Romanon

Pierre Romanon was born to a poor peasant family in Auvergne, France. At an early age, he became a tutor of prayers to his playmates. He felt a strong desire to be a Lasallian Brother and assumed the name Benilde when he became a follower of John Baptist de La Salle. He loved teaching children and spent 40 years in the classroom. He taught not only young pupils, but also held classes for some of his students parents and other adults as well. He became distinguished for his devotion to educating students from all walks of life, going as far as to learn sign language to teach a Deaf boy catechism in order to make it possible for the latter to receive Holy Communion. An embodiment of Lasallian spirituality and simplicity, Benilde Romanon worked hard to enrich the quality of fraternal unity among the Brothers through prayer, song and music. In 1928, his virtuous life was recognized. In acknowledging his achievements, Pope Pius XI said, Sanctity does not consist in doing extraordinary things, but in doing ordinary things extraordinarily well. In October 27, 1967, he was declared a saint. Benilde Romanons seless devotion to education encouraged many young men to the priesthood and religious life, and he became known as the Lasallian patron saint of vocations.

It was in this spirit that De La Salle University established the Career Development Program (CDP) in 1980 to cater to unique learners such as working students. It was an evening school offering degree programs in Business Administration major in Business Management and Marketing Management. It was also the beginnings of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. As the program progressed, it saw that there were students who needed guidance to cope with the academic requirements in degree-oriented courses in regular colleges. In response to this need, CDP established the Preparatory Studies Department in 1984. In 1985, CDP expanded to become a Community College. It opened its doors to regular students in 1987 when it began offering courses in Human Resource Management and Computer Applications. The college preparedness program was still being offered under the Educational Development Department, which later on progressed to become the General Studies Program. It was in 1988 that the Community College was renamed De La Salle UniversityCollege of Saint Benilde, and then later on, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, after the Lasallian patron saint for vocations. As the College expanded, it moved to its new campus at 2544 Taft Avenue, Manila in January 1989 and opened more programs under the Arts and Business Studies Department. The College began conducting its own admissions process in 1993 and reached full autonomy in 1994. In 1997, it held its rst commencement exercise independent from DLSU. Five years after its autonomy, DLS-CSB inaugurated its second campus at the corner of Arellano Avenue and Estrada Streets: the Angelo King International Center (AKIC) Campus which houses the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management and CSB Hotel, the rst hotel-school in the country. Then in 2007, the College inaugurated its third campus along P. Ocampo St. (formerly Vito Cruz), the School of Design and Arts (SDA) Campus.

La Salle Worldwide Network

Today, the La Salle Worldwide Network spans 1,500 institutions in 82 countries. For centuries now, this global Lasallian family has been following the steps of its founder Saint John Baptist de La Salle in offering Christian education to the young, especially the less fortunate. Unied by a commitment to the Lasallian Mission, the International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU) nurtures a fraternity that transcends gender, culture, age, and class.

The School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS) strives to be the leader in learner-centered Deaf education. With various programs and services, it ensures that equal access to opportunities and the diverse needs of its students and professionals are addressed. SDEAS offers a degree in Bachelor in Applied Deaf Studies; a pre-college program through the Deaf Learners Preparatory Course; and short courses in Filipino Sign Language for Deaf and Hearing individuals. Aside from academics, SDEAS provides holistic services for its students through Center for Deaf Esteem and Formation (C-DEAF) and Center for Partnership and Development (C-PD). C-DEAF develops self-esteem and leadership skills of Deaf students through various activities while C-PD builds partnerships among the Deaf and Hearing communities. Filipino Sign Language is used as the medium of instruction in recognition that the Deaf community has its own language, culture and values. Believing that college education must be equally accessible to members of the Deaf community, DLS-CSB offers scholarships to deserving and marginalized Deaf high school graduates. Since 2002 until 2010, SDEAS has been a partner of the Post Secondary Education Network-International (PEN-International), a global collaboration of colleges and universities for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The partnership, funded by a grant from the Nippon Foundation of Japan, has brought in innovative instructional strategies and technologies for Deaf learners & faculty members.

SDEAS celebrates the Annual Deaf Festival every November. Other schools for the Deaf come to Benilde to join in the celebration. Students in SDEAS Business Entrepreneurship track are trained to be owners and managers of small- to medium-sized enterprises. SDEAS has two centers that enable interactive learning through technologyPEN Multimedia Learning Center and the PEN Learning Center. SDEAS offers Filipino Sign Language classes to students, College personnel and the external public as part of DLS-CSBs commitment to provide access for the Deaf.

The DLPC is a two-trimester evaluative program that provides remedial enrichment and formative activities via ve clusters of study: Faith Formation, Personal Development (interpersonal & intrapersonal), Filipino Sign Language, English, and Mathematics. The Applied Deaf Studies program empowers Deaf young adults to become productive and active members of society. The program aims to develop Benildean leader-advocates who are competitive, capable and committed in making positive contribution to their communities, industries, and the nation at large. By developing your competitive skills, and expertise, you will be given the condence and competence to become gainfully employed, perform effectively in the workplace or be able to start your business. You can choose between two tracks: - The Computer Graphics Track prepares you for careers related to graphic design and computer imaging. This track is for those who are interested in new media design and communications, and other elds using digital technologies. You will be trained in website design using Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver, interactive design and authoring using Macromedia Director, videography, photography, print design and pre-press production. - The Business Entrepreneurship Track prepares you to set up, operate and manage small- to medium-level businesses. We may not be fully aware of it but we encounter design and art everyday, from structures where we live, study or work in, patterns and construction of clothes we wear, ergonomics of our gadgets, to the multimedia messages vying for our attention. Truly, design and art have become integrated aspects of our modern existence. Creativity, which fuels the sustainability of these things, determines the quality of our lives today and in the future. The School of Design and Arts (SDA) provides a wide scope of offerings in specialized creative disciplines that meet the demands of an information-driven world. Its degree programs in the elds of arts, lm, design, music, dance and multimedia, employ state-of-the-art traditional and new media technologies backed up by a strong Design Foundation program. The development of its curricula is moving towards a balanced distribution of the arts, history, critical thinking, design research, design process and methodology deep computer intelligence, syllabi focus and contextual relevance to environment. SDA has its own campus, a 14-storey academic complex envisioned to be the home of the new generation of Filipino artists. It houses various laboratories and materials where students can put into practice and hone their passions, talents and unique artistic abilities. The campus serves as a collaboration pod where students of different majors are driven to pursue projects and learn together how creativity can be useful for a societys survival.

The 13 degree programs in SDA are design and art kingdoms of their own but all abide to one rule, which is to constantly collaborate. It is when diverse disciplines converge that unique learning experiences are created, and that is by far more educational than any laboratory work.

For newbies a strong foundation in theory matched by on-the-job experience is whats needed to come out on top. The School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (SHRIM) prepares future hoteliers, restaurateurs and tourism managers for the rigors and precision of the hospitality industry. SHRIM imparts to its students the credo The gold mark in service is awarded only to those who consistently uphold the highest of standards which reinforces not only superior talent and skill but also the dilligence and meticulousness required to excel in this eld. SHRIM offers two degrees with strong management orientationthe Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (HRIM) and International Hospitality Management (IHM). HRIM has three tracks of specialization: Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management and Tourism Management. So whether it is running the business end at the back of the house, engaging customers at the front of the house or creating dishes in the kitchen, students are trained in all aspects of the hotel, restaurant and tourism industry no matter what specialization they choose. On the other hand, the International Hospitality Management track is a double degree program which is offered in partnership with Institut Vatel, a world-renowned hotel school in France. Both degree programs are run by SHRIMs roster of mentors, who are practicing professionals with work experiences in local and international settings. SHRIM has its own campus, the Angelo King International Center (AKIC), which houses industry-level kitchen laboratories as well as a fully functional rst-class hotel. CSB Hotel is a hotel-school that caters to actual guests and stands as one of the schools main hatcheries where students can apply what they learn through hands-on experience. De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) introduces its rst-ever masters degree offering, the Master of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management (MSTHM). This graduate studies program in the eld of hotel and tourism has three tracks of specialization: Culinary Management, Tourism Management, and Hospitality Management. MSTHM is DLS-CSBs response to the emerging need in the country to train hospitality professionals into becoming critical decision-makers, who have strong foundations in the business and science of hospitality, as well as strategic development competencies in food products, travel, and service industries. The program offers 18 units of core courses, followed by 18 units of subjects from their track of specialization, and 6 units of electives. The culminating requirement is a choice of either making a thesis, a strategic management paper, or rendering practicum hours. Successful applicants whose undergraduate degree is not HRM or Tourism are required to take nine (9) units of foundation courses on hospitality and tourism.

The Business Management degree program is designed with the needs of working students in mind. Classes are conducted in the evening and on weekends to make learning accessible. Its industry-anchored curriculum focuses on core business functions. The program aims to equip its students with necessary tools to climb the corporate ladder or to establish themselves as competent business owners. The Marketing Management track for working students focuses on the important concepts of marketing such as product management, sales management, marketing research, international marketing, consumer behavior, advertising, distribution management, and digital marketing. These concepts are taught by faculty members with years of corporate experience as market researchers, marketing managers, brand managers, sales directors and presidents. Students of the course are challenged to experience all the facets of marketing, such as focus group discussions, creating surveys and holding focus group discussions, creating a marketing and advertising campaign, managing a sales team, and preparing and defending a budget. International relations is crucial today more than ever as technology and innovation continue to break down walls and barriers between nations. In this increasingly borderless world, foreign affairs take on the more complicated and yet subtle interrelations of culture, language, politics, society and economics. The School of Multidisciplinary Studies (SMS) offers Bachelor of Arts major in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs (AB-CDA) for young minds with a keen interest in politics and international relations. To go beyond foreign service and international studies, Consular and Diplomatic Affairs prepares students for a career path that ultimately leads to consular and diplomatic posts. Students are exposed to the dynamics of international relations through on-the-job trainings at the Department of Foreign Affairs or various foreign embassies and participation in global conferences such as the preeminent Model United Nations Assembly. SMS also links with other international agencies and networks with international non-prot cultural organizations such as Instituto Cervantes and Alliance Francaise. In addition, SMS is an integral part of Benildean education as the school oversees the foundation subjects of all students from all academic programs. The school handles the English, Filipino, Math, Science, Theology, Philosophy, Social Sciences and Physical Education programs as part of the Colleges goal of forming well-rounded students. The Consular and Diplomatic Affairs degree program is for those who want to be a foreign service ofcer or work in the eld of international relations. It develops practitioners in international relations professionals whose career paths lead to consular and diplomatic posts. You will learn the protocols of addressing heads of state, study the history of foreign relations of the Philippines and other countries, and understand international issues. You will be exposed to the elements of a career in diplomatic affairs early on with on-the-job training in embassies, the Department of Foreign Affairs, local United Nations agencies, and Philippine government agencies. You are likewise given the opportunity to travel and learn a foreign language: a choice of Japanese, Spanish or French. The AB-CDA mission is to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and training in the practice of diplomacy within the globalized context. This includes trainings in communication, public speaking and research. Through courses and exposures to local and international fora, students are equipped with skills preparing them for: (1) service in foreign affairs ofces and related institutions in the private sector and/or civil society, and (2) advanced studies in diplomacy, foreign relations and related disciplines. The School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPaCE) is DLS-CSBs response to the need of professionals for life-long learning. SPaCE offers post-baccalaureate diploma programs in key business management competencies such as Human Resource Management, Organization Development, and Training Development and Management. At SPaCE, industry leaders from corporate, government and private business sectors impart their knowledge and expertise by training participants to acquire or update core competencies in order to excel in their respective professions. At DLS-CSB, you have access to diverse learning resources and equipment. These range from traditional sources of knowledge to the technologically advanced laboratories. Class and case rooms are all equipped with audio-visual systems for various presentation and lecture needs. Laboratories and studios are designed to hone your talents and skills, enabling you not only to put theories into practice, but also to create, think and discover on your own.

The Taft Campus has special computer laboratories for Management, Information Technology, Multidisciplinary and Deaf Studies students. It also has function and case rooms, a theater, a gym and a promenade area with an open basketball court.

The Angelo King International Center (AKIC) Campus is a microcosm of the hospitality industry. Inside the twelve-storey hotel-school are function rooms; demonstration bar and kitchens; institutional hot, cold and baking kitchens; food, nutritional and computer laboratories. AKIC also shares space with CSB Hotel, a fully functioning hotel with 46 guest rooms and a ne dining restaurant which serve as training facilities for SHRIM students. SHRIM maintains hatcheries as training venues for its students: the Solomon Guest House, Vatel Manila Restaurant and cafeterias at the Taft, SDA and AKIC campuses. Here, the students handle all the aspects of maintaining a canteen or a restaurant, from the menu preparation and budgeting, to cooking, to marketing and selling.

The SDA Campus boasts of facilities dedicated to the arts and design. Its hallways have museum lighting that can be converted to exhibition spaces at any given time. The campus has a 558-seat theater, a 105-seat cinema, a contemporary arts museum, a Black Box for alternative performances and a dance studio. These serve as venues for productions and collaborations by students. The campus also has specialized lab rooms such as fashion and industrial design work spaces, drafting and illustration rooms, recording studio, multimedia and animation studios and a green screen room. An equipment center is also set up so students can borrow a wide range of tools and equipment from studio lights, cables, cameras and laptops.

There are no libraries in Benilde.
Instead, the College has the Br. Fidelis Leddy Learning Resource Center (LRC) that houses a wide array of resources to support your researchesfrom conventional print materials to audio and video tapes, transparencies, CDs and electronic and online databases. Each year, LRC adds new materials to its collection and upgrades equipment. LRC has four separate facilities: two at the Taft Campus, (LRC-Main and the LRCExtension), one at the AKIC Campus, and another at the SDA Campus. These areas are all WiFi enabled.

LRC-Main is located at the 2nd oor of St. Mutien-Marie Hall. It houses the audiovisual services room, audio-video viewing area, collections of periodicals, transparencies, maps, theses in print and CD, microlm, new book acquisitions, and a faculty corner. LRC-Extension manages the entire book collection in Taft. It is also where the circulation section is located. LRC-Extension offers free printing of materials downloaded from the Online Public Access Catalog. LRC-AKIC is located at the 10th oor of the AKIC campus. It has an extensive collection of books on hospitality management, culinary arts, nutrition, travel and tourism industry. The facility has its own set of periodicals, audiovisual materials and equipment, and computer units for Internet and database access. LRC-SDA can be found on the 7th and 8th oors of the SDA campus. All materials housed here support SDA programs. Its book and periodical collections are largely focused on the eld of art and design. It also has a collection of audiovisual materials and memorabilia. The LRC-SDA also features the Library Commons, wa venue conducive for discussions and knowledge-sharing.

Benilde will be your training ground for the career path youve chosen. To help you prepare, the Career and Placement Ofce (CPO) offers placement services, career information and developmental programs, as well as assistance in securing on-the-job training, and practicum programs with industry linkages and access to job fairs.

Safety and Security

Benildes learning environment is safeguarded by a dedicated security force. The Center for Safety and Security (CSS) regularly monitors all entry and exit in the three campuses and conducts emergency drills for safety awareness. CSS employs K-9 dog units, CCTV cameras and roaming security ofcers in civilian attire as measures to maintain peace and order in the area. Marshals assist Benildeans in crossing streets and riding the e-jeepneys that make rounds in the three campuses. Task Force Safe School is a project among Benilde, the Western Police District Malate Police Station, De La Salle University and St. Scholasticas College. It aims to keep the vicinities of the schools safe and secure, especially from crimes and criminal elements.

Counseling
The transition from high school to College can be a challenge. To help you adjust, the Center for Counseling Services (CCS) offers individual and group counseling, psychotherapy sessions, crisis intervention, emergency services and personal development programs, including seminars on family life enhancement. CCS also provides counseling programs for student artists, foreign students and children of OFWs. Workshops offered by CCS include family skills, stress management, effective study habits, test anxiety management, anger management and other life-skill training programs. In addition, counselors are assigned to students to track their development and provide complementary counseling needs.

Benilde prides itself for being one of the few Colleges that offer tertiary education to the Deaf. Aside from academics, the Center for Deaf Esteem and Formation (C-DEAF) provide Deaf learners guidance counseling, Lasallian ministry and sports, performance arts, student leadership and social action involvement and programs for your total development. The Student Learning Center (SLC) gives tutorial services administered by volunteer faculty and peer tutors to individuals and small groups of students. You may go to SLC for these services if you are experiencing difculty in any of your subjects, or would want to gain training in skills, personal development and career planning.

Spiritual Development
Benilde provides programs for spiritual formation, retreats and recollections through its Center for Lasallian Ministry (CLM). You are invited to attend masses which are held everyday during lunchtime at Chapel of Resurrection in Taft Campus, Chapel of Our Lady of Star in the AKIC Campus and Chapel of Lasallian Martyrs in the SDA Campus. Each campus has a contemplation room which serves as a venue for recollections and reections. An inter-faith room at the SDA campus is also setup for Benildeans practicing other faiths.

Freshmen Applicants
Procedure and requirements

You are a potential Benildean freshman if you are currently a high school senior or if you are a high school graduate who has not entered tertiary education in the Philippines or abroad. Deaf applicants are also most welcome to apply as DLS-CSB prides itself in providing College education to the Deaf. Dual citizen students and those who passed the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) and/or the Bureau of Alternative Learning Systems (BALS) Test are also eligible for admission. The College also has programs and grants for working students who wish to complete their College degrees or learn further and strengthen their current skills and competencies.

For Music Production Applicants

The Bachelor of Arts in Music Production program has other requirements. To enter the program, you must: Pass the entrance examination in Music which is divided into two parts: 1. Music theory and rudiments 2. Ear training Attend the personal interview. Questions will be on your perception and understanding of music as an art, craft and profession, as well as your plans in the music industry.

Transferee and Second Degree Applicants

Procedure and requirements

Benilde welcomes transferee and second degree applicants. Transferees to Benilde include Filipino applicants who wish to transfer after having entered another tertiary institution, international applicants who wish to transfer after having entered other Philippine tertiary institutions, transfer applicants under the Blessed Arnould Study Assistance Program (BASAP) for working students, graduates of the Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) applying to the Bachelor of Science in Interior Design program and dual citizen transferee applicants. You are considered a second degree applicant if you are a College graduate who wishes to pursue another degree in DLS-CSB. The Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of subjects you have taken from previous tertiary institutions is a control variable in DLS-CSB. The CGPA shall be converted to the DLS-CSB grading system during your pre-application stage. Failure to meet the CGPA cut-off disqualies you from earning course credits or entry to some degree programs. PSID graduates are given consideration for application to the Bachelor of Science in Interior Design program.

Certification of Employment You may be required to submit additional proof of employment such as TIN Number, SSS or GSIS Number, and copy of your latest Income Tax Return.

Working student applicants refer to those who are at least 19 years old and are engaged in full-time or part-time work. If you are a working student applicant, you may apply for the Career Development Program (CDP), which is a night program. International student applicants with tourist visa (9a) or student visa (9f) are not allowed to enroll in CDP in compliance to the Immigration law that prohibits student/tourist visa holders to work while studying in the Philippines.

Self-employed applicants
If you are a high school graduate who has not entered tertiary education, see the procedure and requirements for freshmen applicants on p101. If you have entered tertiary education, refer to the procedure and requirements for transferee applicants on p104. Note that the CGPA is not a control variable. Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) Applicants

Interested ETEEAP applicants must rst inquire and submit a comprehensive resume to SHRIM before proceeding with your application. To qualify, you must be a Filipino citizen, who is at least a high school graduate with no college degree. You must be at least 25 years of age and has at least ve years of work experience in your eld of specialization, the past two years of which must be at least in supervisory level. If you attended seminar(s) and workshop(s), these must be related to your eld of specialization. DLS-CSB will assess the relevance of the seminars and workshops with regards to your ETEEAP application.

ETEEAP is intended for working professionals who wish to complete a bachelors degree through their professional achievements. DLS-CSBs School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (SHRIM) offers the ETEEAP program and conducts pre-screening of applicants. You must rst inquire and submit a comprehensive resume to SHRIM before proceeding with your application.

Candidates for ETEEAP are also required to have good moral character and professional work ethics as certied by past and current employers. You should have no criminal record and no pending ETEEAP applications with other institutions. There are particular requirements for various ETTEAP applicants. Refer to the items below for your guidance: If you have no previous tertiary-level education, submit requirements for freshmen applicants (see p102). The BEST Scholarship is the highest form of scholarship in the College and has the biggest benet package for scholars. It is awarded to those who have an outstanding academic record and consistent substantive achievement in curricular, co- and extra-curricular activities. Awardees may come from any degree program, except from the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Business Management or Marketing Management programs.

The DLS-CSB Ballet Philippines Scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen or transferees applying for Bachelor of Performing Arts Major in Dance (BPA-D) program.

BHS is offered to freshmen applicants who belong to special populations (e.g. street children or youth from an indigenous community) and are under the care of and endorsed by non-government organizations or indigenous communities identied and recognized by DLS-CSB or Armed Forces of the Philippines Educational Benet System Ofce.

Blessed Arnould Study Assistance Program (BASAP)

Application for this program is from midSeptember to mid-December.

BASAP is for freshmen applicants or transferees applying to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Business Management (BSBA-BM) or Marketing Management (BSBA-MM) programs.

I found out about the BASAP scholarship from a free newspaper distributed in MRT stations. I was on my way to work and I read the ad about the program for working students which I felt was perfect for me. I stopped school in 2001 and wasnt able to nish my college degree and have been working since then. Having the opportunity to work and go to school at the same time was the best thing that happened to me as I needed to do both.

The Megaworld Foundation Scholarship is open to academically qualied but nancially challenged students taking up Architecture, Interior Design, Human Resource Management, Business or computer-related courses. The scholarship is offered by Megaworld Foundation, Inc., the CSR arm of Megaworld Corporation.

The Top 10 Honors is awarded to currently enrolled students who are in the top ten honors list for each school year and are given meal, transportation and book allowance. The Vatel Scholarship is awarded to the best-ranking IHM students who have completed ve academic terms in SHRIM. The Center for Institutional Communications (CIC) Student Assistant Grant is for currently enrolled student assistants of the CIC who are recommended for tuition discount by the CIC Director. The Ofce of Culture and Arts Grant is for currently enrolled student-artists of the OCA who are recommended for tuition discount by the OCA Head. The Student Publications Grant-Benildean (SPG-B) is for currently enrolled student writers and artists of the Student Publications Ofce (SPO) who are recommended for tuition discount by the SPO Head. The Benildean Student Envoys program is for currently enrolled students who will serve as ambassadors of the College in special events and linkage programs, and are recommended by the Director of the Center for External Linkages, Alumni and Development (CELAD). You are entitled to tuition subsidy, uniform, trainings and development, and activity-related allowances. The Student Assistantship Program provides the opportunity for the Colleges full scholars/grantees to work on campus. SGO deploys qualied students to school ofces and computer laboratories.

General Scholarship Application Procedure

Visit the DLS-CSB Admissions Center at the Taft Campus, 2544 Taft Avenue, Manila or log on to the Admissions website at http://www. benilde.edu.ph/admissions for information and downloads.

Secure an application payment slip from the Admissions Center and pay the non-refundable admission processing fee at the Accounting Ofce.

START<

Free application kits are provided for applicants of the following scholarship programs: Athletic Grant (recruits with CSD Endorsement), Honors Scholarship, Benildean Hope Scholarship (with endorsement from DLS-CSBs partner agencies) and BASAP.

For paid applications, present the ofcial receipt to the Admissions Center and secure an application form. For free applications, secure the application form from the Admissions Center. Indicate the type of scholarship applied for in the form.

Fill out the application form that comes with the kit or is available through download online. Only applications with correct and complete requirements shall be processed. Submit the form with the admission (refer to p101) and scholarship requirements to the Admissions staff.

Once application requirements are completed, secure the test permit from the Admissions staff. This permit species the date and time of the entrance exam.

Take the entrance exam on the specied date. The College implements a No test permit, no exam policy.

Obtain the application results through the Admissions Center, DLS-CSB website, senior guidance counselor. The results will also be sent to your personal mailing address.
