    Over the past 10 years, an estimated 10 million US jobs have been moved offshore, primarily manufacturing jobs. However, as more service sector jobs are also moved overseas, this number may be dwarfed in the coming years. Losing professional jobs will have a higher political profile than losing manufacturing jobs. Despite the growing trend of offshore outsourcing, the US government has made little effort to monitor the flow of jobs overseas. No government department tracks the number of jobs moving overseas or has plans to implement such monitoring. While more jobs are being outsourced, it puts more crisis on the US economy.
