It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Brianna Rattray. Brianna recently completed a 5 week teaching placement in my classroom while attaining her Bachelor of Education

from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. ln the duration of her placement Brianna successfully planned, implemented and assessed all components of the Grade 11 College Biology curriculum.
Throughout her placement Brianna demonstrated many qualities which I believe will make her an excellent educator. She not only demonstrates expertise in the subject area of Biology, but is also a very
passionate and dedicated instructor. She is knowledgeable and deeply interested in her subject area; while teaching her enthusiasm for teaching and the specific content shone consistently. Her considerate nature and

well thought lessons provided a comfortable yet structured environment which was conducive to learning. Her compassion for teaching and helping students succeed was evident to both me and the students on a regular basis. Brianna also showed her dedication to the teaching career by not only performing all necessary classroom duties but also participating in extra-curricular activities and by taking every opportunity to be involved and interact with colleagues.
One of Brianna's best strengths is that she always demonstrated her commitment to learning by consistently taking on new learning opportunities and by always trying to improve upon her already established

strengths. One of the most important qualities of teachers in my opinion is the commitment to being a life-long learner, and this is a trait which Brianna not only exhibited but was also passionate about.
What I noticed about Brianna that makes her most suitable to the teaching career is the fact that to her this is not just a job, but it is a vocation. I easily give my recommendation to Brianna in her pursuit of achieving a teaching position.
