Cost of Progress Evaluation Website: Due 2/26 Step 1: Independent Requirements: 1.

Research chart on Progress: ONE contemporary example, TWO Westward Expansion examples, and ONE UGLIES example. Contemporary Example and Westward Expansion Example: Explain the background of the example, the success of the example, and the cost of the example. Uglies example: theme (related to cost of progress) with examples of how the setting, plot, and character development prove the theme. Each example should have at least ONE piece of text evidence Step 2: Group Requirements: Each group member will create two-three pages for the groups website 1. Evaluate every group members research chart. 2. Select the BEST examples in each category. 3. Divide up the project into these parts: 1. President: Title page, Definition of Progress page, and Contemporary example, 2. Vice President: Contemporary example, Uglies theme with setting support, and Works Cited Page (last page on the website). 3. Senator: Westward Expansion example and Uglies theme with character support. 4. House of Representatives: Westward Expansion example, Uglies theme with plot support, and Answer the Driving Question Step 3: Creating the pages 1. Total number of pages for the group: 11 2. Each page should have a title, subtitle, picture, explanation, and text evidence. Title page: MLA Heading with Unique title and picture Contemporary Example: -Summary of the example chosen, Description of the progress accomplished, Timeline of the progress from beginning to end, Motivation for the progress, and Cost/Evaluation of the Progress. Westward Expansion Example: -Summary of the example chosen, Description of the progress accomplished, Timeline of the progress from beginning to end, Motivation for the progress, and Cost/Evaluation of the Progress. Uglies Example: Explain the theme, how your part (setting, plot, or character) prove the theme, and use text evidence to prove it. Works Cited Page: MLA format with at least six different sources.
