ANALYSIS 1. In Table A, why is the focal length of the lens equal to the image distance?

In table A, the object we used was the sun so the object distance is infinity and by using the thin lens equation: 1/f = 1/s + 1/s' ; 1/f = 1/infinity + 1/s' ; 1/f = 1/s' ; f=s' 2. How are the image distance and object distance related? What is the limit of the object distance to produce a real image? The relation of the image distance and object distance is 1/f=1/s+1/s'. The focal point is the limit of the object distance to produce a real image. 3. What is the relationship between the object's distance from the lens and the image magnification? Explain. The magnification m of a lens is the ratio of the object distance s and image distance s', so if the object distance s increases, the magnification m will decrease and vice versa. Therefore they are inversely proportional.
