ADHD cannot be cured, but the life style is completely manageable. The symptoms of this disorder can also improve throughout childhood into adult life. There are three different types of ADHD: Predominantly Inattentive Presentation, Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive Presentation, and Combined Presentation. Scientists have researched risk factors to try and decrease the possibility of this disorder. Some possible risk factors are genetics, brain injury, environment exposures, alcohol, tobacco, premature delivery, and low birth weight. The steps to becoming diagnosed with ADHD makes a lengthy process because of the similarities in symptoms to depression, anxiety, and some learning disabilities. This causes me to think deeper to why the statistics show this fact. These pictures are powerful and persuasive because of the consistency between medically treated patience and diagnosed patience. These maps are clear and colorful which caught my eye and kept me intrigued. All the data shows the same result. Appealing to a readers senses is vital to the success of the website, and CDC does a great job of catching the readers attention through colorful pictures and cold hard facts. Through compelling information the reader is also convinced and persuaded to the bias CDC conveys. CDCs focuses heavily on children because the disorder mainly diagnose within the teenage years, and may cause some lifestyle changes. Focusing on children is justified because they need doctors and researchers attention. They are innocent and in a sense helpless so it is up to adults to help them with their journey. No one wants children to suffer with a disease alone so the more website focus on children the better. In current times with bulling in schools, having a disease can cause many setbacks in teens. Knowing that there is information and answers to a personal abnormality can help ease the transition to acceptance. The website helps get valid information about ADHD out to the general public. It also helps properly treat ADHD as not a behavioral issue for punishment, but a disease that needs time, patience, and treatment with doctors
