CHECK

Run the winch at rated speed about 15 min for each winding & reverse operation Check all holding bolts to be fully tightened Check all moving parts to be greased and lubricated Check brake lining and brake band, wear down should be less than 10% Check brake wheel to be operational Check if any abnormal noise Check bearing temperature in normal condition MOORING WINCHES (STEAM) At least one hour before inform engineer warm up steam pipe Before use inform engineer supply steam on deck Drain the pipes/open by pass valve to lead water back to boiler Check drain and pass valve closed before operating Check the gear was off with drum The winches to be run continuously at rated speed for 15 min for each winding and reverse operation Check all holding bolts to be fully tightened Check all moving parts to be greased and lubricated Check brake lining and brake bond, wear down should be less than 10% Check brake wheel to be operational Check bearing temperature in normal condition Check if any abnormal noise
