I look high up above

Up into the sky

And I wonder

I wonder at the marvels of the stars

Before dawn breaks

At the shades of deepest blue

Before the sun slips beyond

I think of the stories I was told

About how angels lived in the clouds

No wonder so many fell

I think about my science classes

About space and time

And I think

No matter religion or science

The sky and stars inspire us

One and the same
