Step 2
Transfer the outline onto the black paper using white tracedown. Try and put in as much detail as possible. TIP: Tracedown is an ideal tool to quickly transfer an outline to paper. Simply place one sheet of wax free transfer paper between the outline and your paper and simply trace over the outline.

Step 3
Start with the White pencil and shade in all the light areas. For the rest of the mother bear use Cloud Blue and add in fur and texture. Remember that pencil strokes should be in the same direction as the fur.

Step 4
Use Cream on the ears, cheek and rear of the body and back leg. Then use more Cloud Blue to carry on building up texture on the front legs.

Step 5
Using Cloud Blue, colour in the noses and draw in the fur of the cubs. With Ginger, shade in the warm areas of the cubs and add some colour to their eyes.

Step 6
Use Cream to work into the fur and build up texture in the lighter areas. Change to White Grey for the slightly darker shades; draw in circles to build up the fur. Use Black to darken the eyes. To pull all the tones together lightly go over all areas to add more depth and shade.

Step 7
Finally, strengthen all the highlights with White and add highlights to the eyes. Your drawing is now complete.
