SUSPENSION

The objective of the suspension system on any vehicle is to maintain control of the steering wheels while turning braking, or traversing rough terrain, and also to increase traction of the drive wheels.

FRONT SUSPENSION
The front suspension is an unequal length A-arm. This geometry was chosen because it's independent, lightweight and provides more control during cornering ensuring the constant alignment of steering and wheels. Material used for arms is ??????? , and for a ??? KN force on the ball joint and shock absorber mounting, the max stress obtained is???? Mpa, which gives a FOS of????. The front suspension was designed to have 7.5 of ground clearance and 7 inches of travel. Caster and camber angles adjustments are made by adjusting end rods and ball joints used in the A-arms. The system uses the FLOAT 3 Fox Air shock with ultra-light weight (2.1 lbs) and the infinitely adjustable air spring. This allows us to adjust the initial stiffness and ride height easily and quickly.

REAR SUSPENSION
The rear suspension is a lower H-frame and single upper link. It's not a common design but it was chosen to provide sufficient space to assemble shocks and drive shafts. Also, it is lightweight compared to other common rear suspension systems. Material used for arms is ??????? , and for a ??? KN force on the ball joint and shock absorber mounting, the max stress obtained is???? Mpa, which gives a FOS of????. The system uses also the FLOAT 3 Fox Air shock and provides 7.5 of ground clearance and 5.5 inches of travel.
