race. I was not aware of the complexity of it and how interwoven it is in the fiber of all of our lives. As I read these weeks text, I wondered about our structures of privilege. I completely understand why we do not yet have a better system. Those who hold privilege do not want to risk not having it and the power that comes with it. People want to keep what they currently possess. We know that privilege and all of the other isms ultimately, negatively, impact society. Yet, we have a system that perpetuates it; so what might a different system look like and how might it evolve?
