Journal # 7 Sheronda King Wilmington University During week 7, I was able to attend orientation for new hire.

I was able to assist with orientation training. I learned more in depth about the organizational chart. I also learned about the benefits that the organization offered. I learned that new hired are now required to pay for PPD testing and Background check. I was able to explain my experience to the group in circle. I was able to sit in during the presentation of the Director and Chief Administrator. Another task I was able to complete was case management. I went through each youth files. I reviewed the intake packet. Many of my files were incomplete. I was able to identify which cases were closed. I removed all closed files out the binder and placed each in an envelope. After reviewing the cases, I was able to review my finding with my director. The

chief administrator explained the role of a program supervisor Overall, week 7 was a simple week. I was able to learn about the different position and the new hired employee. Learning about the benefits allowed me to appreciate the expense of my existing benefit bill. I worked pair and pair with the chief administrator to gain a better understanding of the intake process. I reviewed over 30 different cases. Each case was unique to one and another. I witness the training given to the new employee. Watching the training will contribute to my ability to facilitate the monthly training for all staff. I enjoyed the ice breaker of greeting one and another. During the circle, I was able to gain an understanding about the new hired peoples credential and work background.
