How has this person experienced dehumanization in the world? Edna Griffin experienced dehumanization in the world when she, her daughter, and her friends were not allowed to eat at the lunch counter at Katz Drug Store lunch counter because they didnt serve African Americans. What work did she/he/they do to lessen suffering? How have the decisions they have made impacted the world around them? Edna Griffin helped lessen the suffering by being involved in the Progressive Party to go against African American discrimination. She also brought Katz Drug Store to court and won. Her decisions that impacted the world around her helped start the beginning of the civil rights movement in the nation. What would his/her response if they were asked the question: What is our responsibility to fellow human beings? Edna Griffin would reply The only thing to do is to treat everyone like you would treat yourself.

What admirable and unique attributes did this person possess that would be worth emulating in our lives?
