Dear Ms. Guynn: I am writing to apply for the position of Full Time Teacher that you have available at your Kiddy Academy location.

I am a dedicated and qualified early childhood education provider with a passion for childrens learning and care, and experi ence working in early childhood environment with children ages 2-5. I am currently employed at Alternatives, INC as a part time preschool teacher and advancing towards my AS in Education from Ivy Tech Community College.

In my current role, I am the sole teacher of an in-house preschool program for families experiencing domestic violence and homelessness. I am responsible for developing and delivering creative learning and play activities. I complete individual assessments on each of the children and tailor activities to best suit their learning and social skill needs. Our program is in partnership with IDOE through a grant that requires 90% of participants to progress towards Kindergarten Readiness; this goal has been met the entire time I have held this position.

In addition to being an organized and enthusiastic teacher, I am creative and sensitive to childrens individual needs. I have e xcellent written and verbal communication skills. I am always looking for ways to improve and enhance my teaching and child interaction skills.
