Group 1 Summary (Corrine, Liz, Rachel, Maggie, and Nick)

Banquo and his son, Fleance, are up late thinking about the prophecy of Macbeth. They soon meet with Macbeth and discuss the evening with King Duncan. After parting ways, Macbeth hallucinates about a dagger being in his hands, one used to kill Duncan. Lady Macbeth and Macbeth discuss the murder, double checking and making sure all steps were followed to frame Duncan's guards for the murder. After Macbeth is emasculated by his wife, Lady Macbeth plants the daggers on the sleeping guards. Shortly after, the two hear a knocking coming from the southern end on the castle and, to seem as though it woke them up, they change into night gowns and wash the blood off their hands. Macbeth makes it clear throughout the act that he's feeling guilty because he cannot say "Amen" after praying and wishes the loud knocking would wake Duncan up.
