Clean-up & Hand washing Snack: (15 min) Cracker snowman, had cracker with cream cheese carrots, chocolate chips, and we let them build it their selves.

Outside/Large Motor: (20 min) Bring the scooters and bikes into the commons.

Circle/Music/Good Bye: (20 min) Sing Christmas songs

Name of Activity: Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, We Wish you a Merry Christmas 1. Learning Goal or Objective for the Activity: What knowledge or skills will this activity help children know and be
able to do?

Want them to be able to memorize and know the rhythm to songs.

2. Rational: Why is this knowledge or skill important for children to know and be able to do at this age? This is important because they will learn to remember words and the meaning of words.

3. Activity: Describe in detail the activity you plan to do with these children. I plan to teach them the songs and have them repeat it until they have it memorized.

We will need to be in the classroom sitting on the star rug.

I will find fun videos that sing the songs so the children can sing along.

There will be no need to modify my plan any child can sing along

7. Evaluation: How will you evaluate the childrens achievement of the goal or objective? I will evaluate the child by listening to them sing and if they can sing to the right rhythm and know the words I will know that they have achieved the activity.

I want them to be able to make up a story by their selves off the top of their heads, be creative, and make the story have a cause and effect.

3. Activity: Describe in detail the activity you plan to do with these children. I plan to have the children get on an iPad and make up their own Christmas story then let them record it so they can hear their own voice.

Learn the different shapes they can make with snow. Know the different forms of things.

2. Rational: Why is this knowledge or skill important for children to know and be able to do at this age? This is important because it will teach them to be curious and explore things.

I plan to bring some snow into the class in a big tub and let the children see the different things they can do with snow. See how it starts to melt in your hand, how your hand gets cold after holding it for a long time, and how you can mold it in your hand.

Name of Activity: Christmas Chain and Pattern 1. Learning Goal or Objective for the Activity: What knowledge or skills will this activity help children know and be able
to do?

How to count and make/recognize patterns.

2. Rational: Why is this knowledge or skill important for children to know and be able to do at this age? Counting is used daily and being able to recognize patterns will help them in life.

3. Activity: Describe in detail the activity you plan to do with these children. I will give them each green and red trips of paper and have them count to 25 while we staple them together in a 1,2 pattern.

Name of Activity: Finger Paint a Christmas tree and build a ginger bread house

1. Learning Goal or Objective for the Activity: What knowledge or skills will this activity help children know and be able
to do?

Let their personality to come out through painting what they what and like. And by building a ginger bread house it will help they with their motor skills with using their hands and thinking.

2. Rational: Why is this knowledge or skill important for children to know and be able to do at this age? It allows them to be creative. Helps them learn to build and put things together.

3. Activity: Describe in detail the activity you plan to do with these children. Get some paint and paper let the child dip their hand in the paint and create a Christmas tree with their hands and ornaments and the star with their fingertip. To build the ginger bread house they will use graham crackers, frosting, and different types of candy for decoration.
